Mudryk likened to Ronaldo

William Gallas has compared Mykhailo Mudryk to Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar following the Chelsea star's impressive performance against Fulham. The 22-year-old winger led the Blues to a 2-0 win over Marco Silva's side at Craven Cottage on Monday night as he finally begins to find his feet in the Premier League.

In an interview with Gambling Zone, Gallas insisted that Mudryk has shown shades of Ronaldo recently – as well as Mbappe and Neymar. The former Chelsea defender said: "I think he has all of the attributes to become a top, top player.

"We can all see that he has the ingredients, we are just waiting to see his real quality. He makes things look really easy. The way that he can accelerate past players, he makes his opponent look slow.

"One player that was a little bit similar was Cristiano Ronaldo. When Cristiano was younger and first came to the Premier League, he showed that he had all of the technical ability and the pace. He showed incredible skill with his stepovers."

Martinez stance confirmed

Lautaro Martinez has insisted that he has no intention of leaving Inter Milan, handing Chelsea a major blow. The 26-year-old striker was briefly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer following the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino.

Martinez, who sees his contract at the San Siro expire in 2026, has featured seven times for the Nerazzurri in the Serie A this season, directly contributing towards 11 goals. The Argentina international's impressive performances have reportedly courted the interest of some top clubs around Europe, however his heart seems set on staying at Inter.

"My agent is working on my new deal here at Inter," said Martinez, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano. "I’m very happy. I give my best for the club and my family also loves being here. I can’t see any reason to change and join another club."

Osimhen verdict

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted that Victor Osimhen's future is 'not up for discussion'. The 24-year-old striker has been heavily linked with an exit from the Italian giants recently after the club posted a controversial video on TikTok last month.

Following Napoli's 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night, De Laurentiis told Spanish publication El Chiringuito, as quoted by Goal: "Victor is a player who makes a team on his own, it's not up for discussion. There is no problem with the renewal, everyone in Napoli is happy."

After Napoli's game against Udinese last week, Rudi Garcia also played down speculation that Osimhen faces an uncertain future despite the off-field controversy. As quoted by Football Italia, the Napoli boss said: "I have had a very good rapport with Victor since the moment I arrived.

"I am happy because he scored a goal and centre-forwards always want to score goals. In Bologna we were all frustrated at not winning and he was even more after missing a penalty, so that can happen. We cleared the air, it all went back to normal."
