SENATOR OVIE OMO-AGEGE SUBMITS PETITION TO RESTORE PAYMENT OF AMNESTY PROGRAM BENEFITS TO ENROLLEES

The National Assembly resumed plenary sessions today after its annual recess. During the recess, we received a petition from some of our people through Mr. Augustine Ogedengbe over alleged nonpayment of Presidential Amnesty Program allowances and questionable slashing of already settled slots in the amnesty program since 2010.

Today, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege  submitted the petition to the Senate for proper action.

A good legislator knows what to say on behalf of his people. So, he or she raises up his hand to speak with confidence and authority to protect his people.

That’s how our people wish and deserve to be represented in the National Assembly. We don’t pray for legislators who don’t know what to say, are timid and therefore easily intimidated, are too busy doing nothing for our people or sleep always as if they are permanently tranquilized.
