50 Cent Was ‘Fucked Up’ For Beef With The Game, Says Lil Scrappy

Lil Scrappy feels like 50 Cent’s beef with The Game has deeply affected him, to the point where the rapper could have pulled out of Lil Scrappy’s collaboration while recovering from the aftermath of their breakup.

During an interview with Live On Lake Street, Scrappy, who once performed at G-Unit South as an artist in the late ’00s, revealed that he originally hoped Fif would appear on his 2006 single “Money In The Bank”. The song, which became one of the biggest hits of the Atlanta rapper’s career, was eventually released with just him and G-Unit rapper Young Buck on the track.

“I really wanted it to be 50, man,” Scrappy said. “I said to 50, ‘You gotta do it, ’cause a south beat with a north dude, if you get in there it’s going to be crazy.” When asked why he believes 50 chose not to appear on the record, Love & Hip-Hop: The Atlanta star attributed his former CEO’s decision to being preoccupied with a war of words between him and The Game.

(LR) Rappers 50 Cent and The Game appear at the Schomburg Center for Black Cultural Studies to announce that they will put aside their differences and make amends on March 9, 2005 in New York City.

He even suggests that The Game’s departure from G-Unit and the aftermath that followed left him in a state of limbo. “I think he was still hurt by that Game situation,” suggests the Head Bussa rapper. “I can tell he was fucked up because of that shit.”

The 50s rivalry with The Game is well-documented and considered one of the most heated disputes in hip hop history, leading to diss releases, shootouts, and other intense clashes. While the pair have mulled over the idea of a possible reunion for years, both remain adversaries, using the opportunity to shoot the other when given.

In 2022, The Game made fun of Fifa by saying that he can’t rap and also seemed to criticize him for not having a relationship with his son Marquis. However, earlier this year, The Game honored Fif for his contributions to his debut album The Documentary on the 18th anniversary of its release.
