Tickets for Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival in Tyler are selling fast

The ninth annual festival, set for May 6 in downtown Tyler, will feature more than 25 of “Texas’ most famous barbecues” and live music throughout the day. According to the organizers, every year of its existence it was sold out.

Performers include Charlie Crockett, Shane Smith and the Saints, William Clark Green, Charlie Robison, Mike and the Sleepwalkers and Kyletin Butts.

According to the website of the event, the following restaurants are expected to attend the event: 1701 Barbecue; Smokehouse by Brendan Lamb; BBQ in Brett’s backyard; Brisket Love BBQ & Icehouse; Chopp’d Beef Boys; Country tavern; Crossbuck BBQ; David Dan Barbecue; Hill Barbecue; Cruise Market; Eldzhey’s barbecue; Nomadic BBQ; Poke In Da Eye World Cup Barbecue; Mac Q’s; Reveille Barbecue Co.; Slaughter’s Barbecue Oasis; Smoke House #587; smoke show; Barbecue “Sunny bird”; and Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue.

Tickets

There are three levels of tickets available, ranging from $65 to $175.

SOLD: $175 VIP: Gate time is noon. Tickets include entry to the festival one hour early, samples from all BBQ restaurants, a festival t-shirt, two free drink coupons, a private VIP lounge area and a private standing area in front of the stage. Tickets for this level are already sold out.

$90 General Admission: 13:00 exit time. Tickets include samples from all BBQ restaurants and access to the concert. There will be an area for standing guests and enough space for chairs in the common entrance area.

$65 Afternoon Access: 15:45 Entry time. Tickets include access to the concert. There will be an area for standing guests and enough space for chairs in the common entrance area. Local food trucks and vendors will have access to the food starting at 4:00 pm, as well as at any BBQ restaurants that choose to sell food after the BBQ part of the festival ends.

Red Dirt is an event for all ages. Children under 5 years old will be admitted free of charge.

Full refunds will be allowed until midnight April 30th. All refund requests must be made through EventBrite where tickets are sold.

Once all tickets are sold out, the waiting list will reappear. Once the waitlist has been initiated, you can sign up for exclusive access to tickets that have been returned.

This year, Red Dirt will be returning refunded tickets on sale in April (exact date to be confirmed) and May 2.

Since all return requests before April 30th are honored, the organizers say you should not buy from a stranger on social media. “If they really had tickets, wouldn’t they demand a refund?” site states.

A barbecue and music festival will take place on Tyler’s brick streets downtown.
