A Waco man is on trial for sexually assaulting a teenager at the Hewitt residence.

Waco, TexasKWTX)- Testimony in the trial of a Waco man accused of sexually abusing a teenager at the Hewitt residence is due to begin on Tuesday, while the attacks were recorded on video.

George Anthony Spratt, 58, appeared in the 54th Waco District Court on one count of continuous human trafficking and four counts of promoting child pornography.

Prosecutors Tara Avants and Christy DeCluitt, as well as defense attorney Lyle Gripp, selected jurors on Monday afternoon to hear the case.

According to arrest documents filed in the case, the boy, who lived in Arkansas, visited Spratt’s co-defendant, Willie Ross Davis Jr., at his Hewitt home in May 2020. The teenager, who was 19 at the time, reported that Davis forced him to have sex with Spratt on the first day they arrived at Davis’ home.

“The sexual abuse continued until (the boy) returned to his mother’s home around June 2020,” the sworn letter said. “(The boy) stated that after that he felt severe pain. (Boy) told Willie Davis that he didn’t want to do this with George Spratt, but (boy) stated that Willie Davis would force George Sprat to have sex with him against his will.”

Hewitt officers said they found video evidence of the attack while executing a search warrant at Davis’ home.

According to court documents filed in the Davis criminal case, Davis installed surveillance cameras throughout his home and also used his cell phone, computer camera, and watch-like hidden cameras to record sexual assaults. The boy and his younger brother, who called Davis “Pow-Pow”, reported that Davis told them not to report the abuse to anyone.

Davis, 62, pleaded guilty in May to two counts of human trafficking and four counts of promoting child pornography in exchange for a 40-year prison sentence and four concurrent 20-year sentences.

According to arrest records, Davis’ son revealed that his father raped the teenager in July 2020. Hewitt officers contacted the teen and he said Davis sexually assaulted him multiple times beginning in the summer of 2018 at Davis’ home in Hewitt, in Texarkana, Arkansas, and in Tyler.

The boy also reported that Davis raped his younger brother, who was 16 at the time, and that he forced the brothers to perform sexual acts on each other and on Davis while he was filming them.

Spratt, who spent 579 days in jail awaiting trial, faces at least 25 years in prison and up to life in prison if found guilty of continuous human trafficking. He faces up to 20 years in prison for each of the four counts of promoting child pornography if found guilty of these crimes.
