The streets of downtown Kansas City filled with cheering fans as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to win their second Super Bowl in four years.
The Chiefs beat the Eagles 38–35 in Super LVII in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, bringing home their third championship win in franchise history.
As soon as the whistle blew, fans exploded in euphoria on the Grand Boulevard and around the many Chiefs watch parties.

Police cars and fire trucks immediately began cordoning off the block as fireworks exploded in the night and cars drove through downtown, honking and waving flags, a noise that lasted well past midnight.
Mandy Rees drove from Wichita Sunday morning to watch the game in the Power & Light District. She says she arrived at 8 am and has been partying and playing late into the night ever since.
“It was amazing and everyone loves everyone and there is no drama and no one hates each other,” Rhys exclaimed after the game ended. “There are no problems in the world. It’s just that everyone in the city gets together and everyone is having a great time.”

Paris Anna watched the game from the Gael public house in Trost. She said she didn’t pay much attention to football until quarterback Patrick Mahomes joined the Chiefs.
“Things he can do, things he can see that we don’t even see, the way he positions himself, throws the ball, everything. He is very meticulous and knows it,” she said. “I love this team, I’m just so excited.”

Tickets for State Farm Stadium ran an average of $9,000 in the secondary market. But for many fans there was no better place than home – celebrating with friends, family and strangers at house parties and crowded bars all over the city.
Michael Storz, another fan watching Gael play, was new to football fans.
“I have never watched football, but this game is to die for. It was amazing,” he said. “If you’re going to bite your nails, do it at the Super Bowl. It made it the most fun experience.”
Alexander Naseramini was in Westport after the game, where fans poured out of the bars and gathered in the streets, splashing beer and champagne and dancing.
“It was just exciting until the very end. We push and push and we always get through adversity,” he said. “Mahomes got hurt at half-time but he came back and bounced back and we finished this one fucking strong.”

Julius Carpenter and his sister drove eight hours from Chicago to watch the game in their native Kansas City, joining the thousands of fans that filled the Power and Light District.
“We are delighted,” he said. “We are excited and looking forward to the Wednesday Super Bowl Parade. Let’s go woo!”
