Houston police were looking for James Gerald Martin III after a man was found shot to death in his home.
HOUSTON. A man Houston police were looking for after another man was found shot to death in his home was found dead Wednesday in a car, the department said.
Police were looking for 37-year-old James Gerald Martin III after they went to his home on West TC Jester Boulevard near West 18th Street on January 27 and found Dana Ryssdal, 35, who had been shot multiple times. Paramedics were called to the house, where they pronounced Rysdal dead.
Martin and Ryssdal’s truck was nowhere to be seen.

Three days later, police said they found Ryssdal’s truck abandoned on the roadway on Cullen Boulevard near Yellowstone Boulevard.
Two days later, police said they found another car outside Martin’s house with a man’s body inside. The medical examiner identified the man as Martin and ruled his death a homicide. He was also shot multiple times, police said.
The motive for these shootings is not known. No suspects have been identified.
