Deputies are executing a warrant for assault and find drugs, weapons, counterfeit money, BCSO reports.

SAN ANTONIO – According to the BCSO, officers from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office’s Fugitive Detention Unit found weapons, drugs and counterfeit money while issuing an arrest warrant for a teenager wanted on assault charges.

Deputies executed warrants on January 18 against 18-year-old Jesus De La Cruz for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a pregnant woman.

He was arrested without incident, according to the BCSO, but when deputies were executing a search warrant at a residence in the 4000 block of Fortuna Place, they found multiple weapons and drugs, and De La Cruz now faces additional charges. Two others were also taken into custody.

Deputies found a “large amount” of counterfeit banknotes, two Glock pistols modified to operate in automatic mode, another Glock pistol, loaded magazines, Xanax, marijuana and other items, according to the BCSO.

Jesus De La Cruz is currently facing additional felony charges of Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited firearm, and possession of a criminal instrument. He was also charged with violating bail or a protection order.

Deputies also arrested Edgar Javier De La Cruz, 42, on charges of breach of public duty.

Joey Abigail Luna, 21, was arrested on charges of possession of illegal substances.
