The US Border Patrol tear gasses migrant women and children attempting to cross the border into the US along the Tijuana River in Mexico, on orders from Donald Trump. There are reports that rubber bullets were also fired at the migrants trying to come across the border.

BBC’s James Cook tweeted that “US agents have fired tear gas at migrants trying to breach the border between Mexico and the United States.”

Cook’s account was backed up by the Associated Press’ Chris Sherman, who told MSNBC News:

And interviewing a family who was down there at the time, I was up on the side of the river watching. They said that some of the migrants opened a small hole in the wire and that’s when the U.S. Agents began firing tear gas. I saw at least half a dozen, maybe ten canisters launched into Mexico. The breeze was carrying into Mexico. So we were running for several minutes to get out of the cloud of tear gas. There were lots of small children, women passing off small children to then try to run faster, people discarding their backpacks.

He tweeted: “US Border Patrol has just launched tear gas into Mexico. Breeze carrying it hundreds of yards. Parents running away with choking toddlers.”

This comes after the incoming Mexican government denied they reached an asylum deal with Trump.

The US government is attacking asylum seekers, including toddlers….let that sink in! In other words, on Trump’s orders, international border law was just violated.
