Morocco Records 431 New COVID-19 Cases Over Past 24 Hours

A total of 24,875,461 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 23,365,660, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin, noting that 6,672,456 people have received the third dose of the vaccine, while 25,578 people have received the fourth dose.

According to the same source, the number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus rose to 1,260,405, while recoveries increased to 1,238,505, i.e. a recovery rate of 98.3%.

The new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Eastern region (86) as well as in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (70), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (69), Fez-Meknes (54), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (44), Marrakech-Safi (44), Souss-Massa (34), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (09), Draa-Tafilalet (07), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (07), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (05) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (02).

As for coronavirus-related fatalities, they increased to 16,233, with five cases reported in the past 24 hours in the Eastern region (01) and in the regions of Marrakech-Safi (01),Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (01), Souss-Massa (01) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01).

The number of active cases has reached 5,667, while 16 severe or critical cases have been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing their total number to 101.

Morocco recorded 431 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection said Friday, adding that 869 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the same period.
