Multifaceted screen actress and businesswoman, Issa Rae, is adding other businesses like Raedio unto her already blossoming brands.
She established her record label, Raedio, an imprint of Atlantic Records, last year. The label immediately signed TeaMarrr. The label created a soundtrack called Heaven Sent for designer Jason Rembert for the exhibition of Aliétte collection on the runway.

Rae spoke to Vogue and explained collaboration that led to the creation of the soundtrack. “This is the kind of stuff that we want to continue to do down the line, to curate an audio experience. Jason sent sketches to the team, and immediately they sensed a bit of playfulness, double Dutch was actually an inspiration, and we wanted to select tracks that reflected that exuberance and that street vibe.”
Rae is the co-creator of the popular series, Insecure, she is preparing to release the fourth season. She owns her own coffee shop with Ajay Relan and Yonnie Hagos (owners of Hilltop Coffee and Kitchen) at Inglewood, California. Aside from that, she featured in The Photograph, alongside Lakeith Stanfield. The movie projects the beauty of Black Love.
