The recent drip-drip-drip in the airing of the Melnyk-Ruddy-Watson list of dirty laundry does little to resolve the Current impasse in trying to move the Lebreton project forward. The suggestion that more people will attend Senator games at a downtown location is a debatable point and ought to be a minor consideration in a project of this magnitude. As the planned extension of the LRT is expected to reach the CTC in a few years perhaps the Senators should stay at their current location. Rather than incur more delays beyond the NCC January deadline, it may be time for the various government stakeholders to demonstrate more leadership in considering other ideas for the development of the LeBreton flats.
