PM's "Disappointed" Without Merit


It is unfortunate that both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Conservative leader Andrew Scheer are trying to score some political points in their response to Premier Ford’s decision to cancel a planned French-language University at this time. When it comes to budget management, either at the individual or government level, the must have items need to take precedence over the nice to have. With part of the mission statement for the University of Ottawa noting its objective as being for “the promotion of French culture in Ontario” and with eastern Ontario likely having the highest percentage of Ontario’s French speaking residents, the concerns expressed appear more rooted toward the ballot box.
