An Australian businessman is in a Thai immigration detention centre pending extradition to Australia to face possible charges linked to a troubled IT company.
John Falconer, 68, who faced a Thai court earlier this month, is expected to fly back to Australia within 30 days to face charges related to his position as a former company secretary and Director of the ASX-listed TZ Ltd.
The Australian charges follow a 2009 Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) investigation into TZ Ltd accounts over charges of illegal payments to senior directors.
