Government appoints 20 Joint Secretaries at the Centre

The  Central Government has appointed 20 Joint Secretaries across various departments.

Rajeev Singh Thakur, an Ias Officer of Rajasthan cadre 1995 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in Department of Defence for five years. He has replaced  Jiwesh  Nandan who is an IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh 1987 batch.

Ravi Kant, an Indian Ordance Factories Service (IOFS) officer of 1986 batch, who is currently the Joint Secretary at the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare has been given the charge of Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, on lateral shift basis for five years. Hari Prasad Pudi, an Indian Railway Accounts Service officer of 1994 batch , has taken his place as Joint Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare.

Kumar Vinay Pratap an Indian Economic Service (IES) officer of 1992 batch has now been posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for five years.

Kamran Rizvi, an IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh 1991 batch, is now the Joint Secretary at the Department of Rural Development, for five years.

Sachin Sinha, an IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh 1995 batch, is now the  Joint Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy for five years, replacing Ajay Tirkey, an IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre 1987 batch.

V Shashank Sekhar, an IAS officer of 1996 batch has been posted in Department of School Education and Literacy as Joint Secretary. He was posted in Ministry of Home Affairs as Joint Secretary.

Pankaj Rag, an IAS officer of MadhyaPradesh cadre 1990 batch, has been shifted to Ministry of Sports as Joint Secretary from Ministry of Culture.

Sushil Kumar Singla, an IFOS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre 1994 batch is now the Joint Secretaryat the Department of Land Resources.

Anuj Sharma, an Indian Defense Estates Service (IDES) officer of 1991 batch has been made Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of overall five years.

 Dharma Reddy Alla, an IDES officer of 1991 batch has been appointed as the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for five  years.

Sanjay Kumar Sinha, an IFOS officer of Jammu and Kashmir 1993 batch  has been made the Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education.

Anant Swarup, an IRPS officer of 1992 batch has been appointed as Joint Secretary at the Department of Commerce for five years.

Jatindra Nath Swain, an IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre 1988 batch has been given the charge of  Managing Director at Solar Energy Corporation of India (JS level) under the Ministry of New and  Renewable Energy.

Sanjay Rastogi, an IAS officer of Odisha 1991 batch has been given the charge of Development Commissioner (Handlooms) (JS level), Ministry of Textiles for five years.

Sundeep Kumar Nayak, an IAS officer 1988 batch, has been appointed as Managing Director, NCDCI (JS level) under the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, for five years.
