Mads Mikkelsen, the Cthurkey, Providence, and some other Lovecraft-related(ish) stories, week 49, 2016

Time to empty the backlog:

A Story from last week about the legal battle between James W. Dyer and Derrick Hussey (founder of Hippucampus Press) over four Lovecraft-related short stories written by C.M. Eddy, Jr. can be found in The Narragansett Times.

Michael Chabon talks about Jorge Luis Borges, and Lovecraft, in this story in The Atlantic. Chabon has done great work defending speculative fiction against literary snobbery, so his stuff is usually well worth reading, even if I personally don’t always agree with him.

Check out some limited editions of Providence by Alan Moore and Jacen Burrows, via Bleeding Cool.

Here’s a brief story about Mark Erskine and his Lovecraft-inspired work for Temple of Demigod.

Conarium will be out early next year.

The latest from Richard Corben is Shadows on the Grave, in this preview in Paste Magazine.

The Cthurkey is making the rounds again in this list of bizarre turkey creations.

H.P. Lovecraft’s Reanimator Tales from Caliber Comics will be out in February next year.

Alkaloid has released a video for the track “Cthulhu” from their debut album “The Malkuth Grimoire.”

An “almost Lovecraftian” trailer for Hideo Kojima’s new game Death Stranding can be found here. Jim Sterling is not impressed with the hype. And fuck Konami, of course.

And that’s that for now.
