Lovecraftian review roundup, week 46, 2016

Movie Pilot reviews Arrival, an “almost-Lovecraftian masterpiece,” and there’s another review at the Lovecraft eZine about the Lovecraftian themes in the film.

There’s a lengthy review at Geeks of Doom of Metallica’s latest album, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct. One of the tracks is “Dream No More,” which “returns to the theme of H.P. Lovecraft’s mythical monster Cthulhu.”

PopMatters looks at Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs: “What begins as a fascinating mixture of Lovecraftian horror and economic anxiety eventually grows too big for its own good.” Soundtrack here.

Reviews of “Pickman’s Model” from Cadabra Records can be found at Rue Morgue and Modern Vinyl.

The Dice Tower’s Tom Vasel reviews Cthulhu in the House (and spells the title wrong), and Drive Thru Review’s Joel Eddy takes a look at Bloodborne: The Card Game.
