This is an excellent Washington Post article on one of the true problems within the Bush administration-the lack of trust which has resulted from misinformation and predictions which various members of the administration has made.

It has become very difficult to take their word on anything, much less take them seriously. This article points out some of the issues on which too-optimistic predictions have been made, as well as some information that turned out to be simply misleading.
