There's barely room to breathe

I Noticed an interesting phenomena regarding these all too common zero lot line homes - we're turning into Brooklyn.

What I mean is, there are no backyards at many of these new homes. The kids have nowhere to play. I've noticed on my own street where town homes were built with no space for grass or backyards and in so many of them, a car Barely fits in the driveway, it sticks out into the street.

The kids play in the street. And one little guy keeps running out into traffic which is not a good thing. They skateboard, play basketball and use motorized scooters, taking up the street and having to move when a car comes by. Sort of like they used to do in Brooklyn in the old days.

I never grew up in Brooklyn, but when we were kids in NY we played stick ball in the street and when a car was coming, we yelled out, "Car!" and all us kids would run to the sidewalks to allow the car(s) to pass. It's getting to be like that now in the Grove. What's old is new again.
