Summer programs for kids and veterans

Is your child interested in accessible sailing, kayaking, swimming or fishing? All while making new friends and learning cool things? You can do it all and more at Shake-A-Leg Miami’s fun and exciting inclusive Summer Camp Programs.

There are three different camp options: Marine Academy Camp, Adventure Island Camp and Water Sports Camp.

 Camps run June 10 to August 16, Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm sharp with aftercare available until 6:00 pm. Camps are available in 2-week sessions, with no child left at the dock with our scholarship program.

Thanks to the VA Adaptive Sports Grant program, their Veterans Program has been able to take over 100 veterans fishing and sailing. They  continue to serve more veterans throughout the summer with the new updated summer times. 

Shake-A-Leg is offering the following water sports activities for veterans and their families at no charge in partnership with the US Department of Veterans Affairs Adaptive Sports Grant Program.

Sailing is offered Wednesdays 5-8 pm, Saturdays 9 am-1 pm and Sundays 9 am-1 pm.

Paddling is offered Saturday sand Sundays 9.am-1 pm.

Fishing is offered two times a month on Saturdays 9 am-1 pm.
