Regarding the sale of the Sonesta Hotel last week, it turns out that Kishan Group, a group from Reno, NV, is the company that purchased the hotel. Kirhan is part of Best Western's Premier collection. The new name for the hotel will be "Hotel Aria."The Premier Group has hotels in smaller cities across the US including Del Mar, CA; Kansas City, KS; St. Louis, MO; Grand Canyon, AZ; Helena, MT among many others.

The brand is an independent boutique brand. Room rates at the new Grove hotel are expected to rise by 15%, so this could be a good sign to condo owners at the property who were concerned about their investments.
The property closed on Monday and within 90 days, the new name Hotel Aria will replace the Sonesta brand on the building.
