Saffron, the new Indian restaurant, is open at 2982 Grand Avenue. You may be familiar with their location in Pinecrest. From now until January, they are open for dinner only starting at 5 pm. Then they will be open daily from 11:30 am to 10 pm.
Their menu consists of the traditional Indian dishes - their lunches include vegetarian dishes only along with non-vegetarian and Tandoori.
There is quite a large menu consisting of everything from Chicken tandoori, tangi kababs, paneer makhani, daal makhani, chicken madras, Chicken Tikka Masala, and so many fish dishes, too.
Appetizers include samosas, veg cutlets, tandoori wings, shrimp chili and so much more.
The Grove space is quite large, you may remember it as the old Haagan Dazs location, also Ergon, the Greek place, Confucio Express and Qdoba. All excellent places.
Customers love the Pinecrest location. Comments on Yelp include:
“Make sure you order naan because you will want to sop up every bit of their amazing sauces.”
“We definitely recommend the chicken tikka masala and saffron prawn kabab masala."
"What do you call a restaurant you literally crave every single day? An obsession! I've been coming to Saffron for almost two years now and it never fails to disappoint. Whether it be a lunch or for dinner. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food always bring me back. Did I mention their lunch specials are fantastically priced? If you haven't had Saffron yet, I don't know what you're waiting for."
