Tonight's Recipe comes from Awesome Recipes & Kitchen Short Cuts. I actually made it last night, for use with tonight's supper. I wanted to make sure the few ingredients in it had time to really meld together well in the frig.
Basically, this is apparently a multi-use Sauce, so after my husband grilled a couple steaks for us, this sauce went on top of them. We also used it for dipping our perogies. In fact, we used this as a cold sauce, right out of the frig, and damn...it was good.
What did I learn from this recipe?
Simple is good. I liked this. However, my sauce seemed a little thicker than the sauce shown in the recipe. I think maybe I drained too much of the oil and water away from the ingredients. It was still good, but since we still have some left, I may need to mix in a touch of oil to make it a little thinner.
With the red pepper (and garlic I added), this had a small, pleasant amount of heat.
