Pisces - The Visionaries of the Zodiac
By Lola Babalon

As the sun moves into the sign of Pisces a collective shift happens from the intellectual into the emotional realm. Traditionally this is the time of Lent, where people fast and purify. In the olden days they didn’t have much choice in the matter. There was little too eat at the end of winter, and little to do while waiting for the new greens. These days you’re encouraged to indulge in fresh leafy greens, or fast for a few days on fresh pressed juice and water. Spring is a time of renewal. It’s also the best time for being physical, a pleasant hike in the hills, or spring-cleaning the house.
Pisces energy is watery, feeling oriented. Water rules feelings, rhythms, cycles and flow. Emotions, literally ‘that which moves us’, are fluctuations of the inner weather condition. Feelings change all the time. Like weather they’re just coming through. Rather than experiencing your emotional ups and downs as beyond your control, consider a proactive approach to your feelings, realize that there is a choice. You can choose to indulge certain emotions, or choose to snap out of them.
Water has various forms. Depending on temperature it’s liquid, solid or vapor. Feelings are like that too. Ever had a feeling evaporate, or freeze? Permanent happiness is as unlikely to attain as permanent sunshine.
Pisceans are the visionaries of the Zodiac. It is the most sensitive, fluid and compassionate of signs. Some Pisceans have a keen ability to pick up on the ideas, thoughts, needs, and desires of others. Many romantics, dreamers, and psychics are born during this time. There is a tendency to blend in with ones environment, to let things evolve, any which way.
The Pisces individual is attuned to the fact that reality has many different faces and dimensions. This ‘other worldliness’ can sometimes clash with, or attempt to evade reality. The sign corresponds to the 12th house of the Horoscope, which is that of spiritual insight, mystical inspiration, and past life karma.

Happy Birthday to the famous Topanga Pisceans:
John Benedict, Michael Dean, Kamakshi Hart, Yedvart Tchakerian, Jamie Sher, Jordan Lederer, Linnea Richards, Gabrielle Lamirand, Melanie Kareem, Ken Widen, Penny Chavez, Julie Levine, Cosimo Rico, Tanya Starcevitch and all others not mentioned here.

Calendar:
Only the days with strong planetary aspects are considered. You will feel these effects more strongly if your birthday falls on or near them.

Mar 1
Moon eclipses Saturn
A somber day, good for a serious reality check. Review your agenda to become more goal oriented.

Mar 3
Lunar Eclipse 13* Virgo
This brings up the question of meaningful service, what is it you are offering to the world? Good for unconditional giving, also shifting gears or alliances.

Mar 5
Sun conjuncts Uranus
Uranus is the big de-conditioner, so this can be a wake up call for the status quo. Unusual events and restless energy, unconventional and inventive ways to problem solving. Think outside the box.

Mar 7
Mercury SD (stations direct)
A shift towards progress, life is clicking forward into gear. Because of Mercury’s proximity look out for: scatter brains, misunderstandings, multitasking going awry and general kookiness.

Mar 8
Venus trine Jupiter
Think big and positive, a time to reach beyond limitations. Your eyes may be bigger than your mouth, or your bank balance for that matter. So leave your credit cards at home, preferably in the freezer. A simple strategy of sympathetic magic. Love rules!

Mar 9
Venus trines Saturn, Sun squares Jupiter, Venus sextiles Neptune
A busy, intense day where you can get a lot of work done. Use your imagination, balance your inner needs with outer necessities.

Mar 11
Daylight saving starts early this year.
Feel encouraged to get up early, and get the job done. Lots of sextiles this week, which is good for negotiations. Also a potential to get carried away, with either too much information, or too many options open.

Mar 16
Jupiter trines Saturn, Mercury sextile Pluto, Venus trines Pluto, Mercury sextile Venus
Think big, and take a look at the big picture. Don’t be afraid to negotiate with the dark side, consider all aspects as valid. Tolerance rules!

Mar 17
Venus enters Taurus
For the next few weeks it’s good to remember that you have a body, and need a fair amount of physical comfort. Pleasure rules!

Mar 18
Mercury enters Pisces, Solar Eclipse 28* Pisces
An intuitive and introverted, emotional intensity. Possible shifts in political alliances and power structures.

Mar 19
Sun square Pluto
Ditto, and then some. Avoid gridlock or conflicts between tender visionaries and gung-ho righteousness.

Mar 20
Spring Equinox, Sun enters Aries
A push towards evolutionary change! Celebrate the returning of the fertile season, while nature displays all it’s splendor and glory.

Mar 22
Mars opposes Saturn
Watch out in traffic as people will be short fused and confrontational. Good for competitive sports, not great for problem solving.

Mar 23
Mars sextile Jupiter
When push comes to shove, communicate. Make use of your long distance connections, travel and look at the bright side. Optimism rules!

Mar 25
Mars conjunct Neptune
Today people are super sensitive and unrealistic. Beware of misjudgments, potential of loss due to drugs or chemicals. Drive carefully since people have their heads in the clouds, heading for wonderland.

Mar 28
Moon eclipses Saturn
No more dreaminess here, Saturn is the celestial taskmaster, so use your focus and intent wisely. Your inner parents are talking to you.

Mar 31
Venus sextile Uranus, Pluto SR (stations retrograde)
The first aspect is inventive and adventuresome, while the Pluto station makes everybody more intense and Scorpio like. This can mean unusually kinky tastes. Try something new and different: a taste, sight, sound or experience.
