The weather can get pretty gruesome sometimes and for the most part, we’re either wearing parkas or jackets to keep us warm. But up here we have prime suntanning weather from June, July and August.We will do anything to get sufficient amounts of Vitamin D through sun exposure. So it’s no wonder skin cancer is on the rise. Loblaw Buys Shoppers Drug Mart for over $12B – I was watching Galen Weston talking about this on television about one of the largest mergers in Canadian history. Two of Canada’s largest retailers are getting married. It’s good to know that Galen Weston does not plan on closing any Shoppers stores. …at least for now. When he talked about “changing the retail landscape”, I am very interested in knowing how. The Shoppers Drug Mart in my area is almost next door to the new Target store that just opened up in May, so I’d like to see how Shoppers expands. – Read more >>

Zimmerman Acquittal Gets Unruly – It’s tough sometime when we all don’t get what we want. Trayvon Martin’s death was certainly tragic. May he rest in peace. His death shouldn’t have happened. But it did. No one can do anything to change that. A bad set of circumstances that cost a young man his life. That doesn’t mean it was murder. He did what he thought he had to. Autopsy for Cory Monteith Scheduled for Today – I never watched the television show Glee. Musicals were just never my thing. The only musical I ever got into was The Sound of Music. But I did wee Cory on TV a number of times and he seems to be someone I would like to have as a friend. Anytime someone dies before their time is a sad event. Cory died at 31 years of age – a young man at his prime. He’s much too young for his death to be considered a natural death. Drugs of some sort seem to be involved. I just hope he takes the right path and build his life for the betterment of the world.
