Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan inaugurated the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro’s capital Podgorica, highlighting Turkey’s growing diplomatic network with 260 representations. Investments with the Turkish capital reached €344 million ($375.20 million), with Montenegro in the top ranks in foreign direct investments.
Fidan emphasized the importance of focusing on areas such as energy, tourism, infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, forestry, communications, and information technology. The Montenegro-Turkish Chamber of Commerce will strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Montenegro’s Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic emphasized the mutual political and fraternal relations between the two countries, stating that Turkish companies are welcome in Montenegro and will find opportunities in infrastructure, energy, and tourism projects. The chamber’s opening was attended by many Turkish and Montenegrin businesspeople.
