Muslims in the city gathered after Friday prayers to show support for Palestine and express their opposition to Israel. They prayed in mosques across the city for the Israel-Hamas war to end.

A group called Darsgah-E-Jihad-O-Shahadat (DJS) protested in Moghalpura against what they saw as Israel’s mistreatment of Palestinians in Gaza. They gathered near Moghalpura Kaman and raised slogans in front of their office. The protesters held signs and chanted against Israel’s attacks on Gaza, saying “Gaza will never die” and “Long live Palestine.”

Due to the expected protests against Israel’s use of force in Gaza, tight security measures were put in place across the city. However, most crowds, including those at Mecca Masjid, dispersed peacefully after prayers. Special prayers were conducted at mosques to pray for Palestine.

Numerous silent protests were organized in the city following the Israel-Hamas-Hezbollah conflict. Muslim organizations called for Friday to be observed as “Youm-e-Dua,” and during sermons and after prayers, Imams prayed for the people of Gaza and Al-Aqsa mosque. Some mosques even displayed the Israeli flag at their entrances, and people walked through it as a symbolic act.
