Inaction over approvals puts Telangana State Wakf Board in hot water

The Telangana State Wakf Board is being criticized for taking too long to issue proceedings from their recent meeting. People are accusing the board of only focusing on certain issues that benefit them personally. During the meeting, the board discussed 135 different topics, including wakf lands, properties, appointments, and regularizing employees. They also discussed ending the appointment of illegally appointed mutawaalis and pleas about the successorship of shrines. The board approved these resolutions, but they have not yet released the proceedings.

One of the applicants, Syed Meraj Nawab, thinks that the board is taking too long to release the proceedings and only focusing on certain issues. He said that there is no reason for this delay and that it has never happened before. Another applicant, who wished to remain anonymous, said that they have gone to the office multiple times, but they still haven’t received the proceedings. They feel frustrated and upset by the delay. Previously, the proceedings were released soon after approval at board meetings.
