The NSE Nifty 50 increased 20.00 points or 0.11% to 18,035.85 while the BSE Sensex increased 44.42 points or 0.07% to 61,319.51. Asian markets end on a positive note

The session on Asian markets ended on Thursday with mostly gains. South Korea's KOSPI increased 47.58 points or 1.96% to 2,475.48, Hong Kong's Hang Seng increased 175.50 points or 0.84% to 20,987.67, Japan's Nikkei 225 up 194.58 points or 0.71% to 27,696.44, and China's Shanghai Composite index decreased 31.46 points or 0.96% to 3,249.03.

Nifty IT gains more than 2%

To reach 31,567.55, Nifty IT gained 633 points, or 2.05%. Every one of its components was trading in green. The leading gainers are Tech Mahindra, MPhasis, LTTS, and LTIM.

On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, data available on NSE shows that domestic institutional investors (DII) bought shares worth a net Rs 516.64 crore and foreign institutional investors (FII) bought shares worth a net Rs 432.15 crore. FIIs sold shares worth a net of Rs 2,354.37 crore during the month of February up through the 15th, while DIIs purchased shares worth a net of Rs 7,696.17 crore.

The NSE Nifty 50 increased 84.85 points or 0.47% to 18,100.70, and the BSE Sensex increased 315.41 points or 0.51% to 61,590.50.

US stock market finishes higher

The US equity market ended the overnight session in the green, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq composite index rising 110.45 or 0.92% to 12,070.59, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 38.78 points or 0.11% to 34,128.05, the S&P 500 up 11.47 points or 0.28%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 38.78 points or 0.11% to 34,128.05.

Apple has been sued four times since November for data privacy.


Markets in Asia trade in green

China's Shanghai Composite index increased 13.10 points (0.40%) to 3,294.81; Japan's Nikkei 225 increased 193.30 points (0.70%); Hong Kong's Hang Seng increased 332 points (1.60%); and South Korea's KOSPI increased 40.49 points (1.69%) to 2,468.44. Asian markets were trading in the green.
