Tribunal: Tinubu, Shetima tender 18 exhibits against Obi’s petition

President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday tendered 18 exhibits at the Presidential Election Petition Court in defence against the petition filed by the Labour Party and its candidate, Peter Obi challenging his victory at the polls.

The exhibits were tendered by Tinubu and Shetima to the court to disprove allegations of non-qualifications to stand for the 2023 presidential election.

Shetima also tendered his letter of withdrawal from the Borno South Senatorial race.

Also among the documents tendered was a copy of the Labour Party membership register for Anambra State as proof that Peter Obi is not a registered member of the party.

Tinubu and Shettima who are 2nd and 3rd respondents in the case tendered the documents through their lead counsel, Wole Olanipekun, SAN.

They had argued, in their response to the petition, that Obi was not qualified to have contested in the last presidential election as he was not a member of the party
