Ahead of the Kerala Pravasi Association (KPA) state conference, the party recently held its district conference in Malappuram. The Malappuram District Representative Conference was held on July 22, 2023 at the Downhill Auditorium of Grandays Hotel.

The conference was inaugurated by KPA National Chairman Shri. Rajendran Vellapalath, National Secretary Mr. Jerry Raju, other party officials, and over 400 delegates.

Five core resolutions were discussed and passed at the Malappuram district conference. These include plans for a comprehensive development of Malappuram district, better management of airfares from Calicut International Airport in Karipur, health, and education needs, farmer issues as well as difficulties faced by non-residents Keralites were all discussed at the conference.

KPA is making a systematic effort to make its presence known in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and to become a decisive force in the assembly through the 2026 assembly elections. The party’s stand against bandhs, hartals, and violent protests that make people’s lives miserable has already become the talk of Kerala politics.

KPA, which came up with the slogan “Self-sufficient Kerala through expatriates” have made remarkable inroads since its formation. This year, as part of the “Ayiram Veedu” project – designed for the economically poor, the party handed over two houses to families in need.

A web portal called Pravasi Jobs is also expected to be ready to help unemployed youth in the state find job opportunities in foreign countries. A greater inflow of younger members to KPA will be possible through such projects.

Although led by expatriates, any citizen of this country can become an active member of KPA. KPA aims to be a movement open to any like-minded person over the age of 18. For more details visit KPA’s website.
