Abuja, Nigeria - The Federal Government has officially announced Tuesday, April 9th, and Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, as public holidays in observance of this year's Eid-el-Fitr celebration. The declaration was made by Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the federal government.
In a statement released by the ministry's Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aishetu Gogo-Ndayako, the minister extended congratulations to the Muslim Ummah for the successful conclusion of Ramadan. Tunji-Ojo urged the Muslim community to embrace and embody the values of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighborliness, and compassion, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
