Suspected Bandit Attack Claims Lives and Results in Abductions in Kaduna State
In a distressing incident, suspected bandits launched a violent assault on Dogon Noma village, situated within Maro Ward of the Kajuru Local Government Area in Kaduna State. This brazen attack occurred on the morning of Friday, September 15, resulting in the tragic loss of two villagers' lives and the abduction of three others.
Reports from local sources indicate that the bandits, in a burst of gunfire, descended upon the community, plunging the area into chaos as villagers frantically sought refuge during the assault.
Yuhana Maigari, a resident of the area, confirmed the grim event to the Daily Trust on Saturday, September 16, revealing, "A female and a male were killed, while three additional villagers were kidnapped."
The overseer of Kufana District, Yuhana Maigari, identified the deceased as Bala Laya and Gimbiya Coaster. The individuals kidnapped were named as Set Alkali, Saviour Christopher, and Sico Nicholas.
This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing security challenges faced by certain regions in Kaduna State, with banditry and violence continuing to disrupt the lives of innocent residents.
