Former NBA Player Brandon Hunter Passes Away at 42



Brandon Hunter, a former professional basketball player who once donned the jerseys of the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic, has sadly passed away at the age of 42.


Hunter, renowned as a standout high school basketball player in Cincinnati, achieved stardom as a forward for the Bobcats. His exceptional skills on the court earned him three consecutive first-team All-MAC conference selections. Notably, he led the NCAA in rebounding during his senior season, a remarkable feat that propelled him into the spotlight. In 2003, Hunter was selected as the 56th overall pick in the NBA Draft.


Throughout his NBA career, which spanned two seasons, Hunter appeared in 67 games and showcased his talent, recording a career-high of 17 points in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks in 2004.


Brandon Hunter's basketball journey extended far beyond the NBA. He embarked on an extensive international career, playing for various clubs across Greece, Italy, Puerto Rico, and other countries from 2006 to 2013.


Following his retirement from professional basketball, Hunter transitioned into coaching, ventured into real estate, and became involved in sports management, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to the world of sports.
