The central government made necessary amendments to some outdated laws of the British era. The move was long pending. Necessary changes were made in Indian Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code. Among the three newly enacted laws, the most important law relates to evidence. The old law of evidence dates back to seventeen-and-a-half hundred years ago. It is good that it has been changed.
