BJP lost in 2018 in five states where elections are held

- There is no telling who the people will lean towards

- The Inside Story

- After elections in Madhya Pradesh, BJP formed the government through political sabotage

During the festive period, the campaigning for the assembly elections in five states and face-to-face accusations are going on in full swing. The five state elections are being compared to the semi-finals of the 2024 Lok Sabha battle. These elections have brought a big challenge for the BJP as the BJP had lost the elections in all these five states in 2018. After the elections in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP formed the Government through political sabotage.

In the battle of five states, BJP and Congress have reneged on their promises. In Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, there is a direct fight between the BJP and the Congress. Telangana is like a puzzle that needs a solution. In Telangana there is a direct fight between the current regional party government and the Congress. BJP is at number three in Telangana. Both Congress and BJP are claiming to win Telangana.

K. Chandrasekhar Rao's government in Telangana is also doing pro-people things but they are afraid of anti-incumbency. Congress and BJP want to take advantage of the fact that people are fed up with the same government.

Anti-incumbency is also haunting the government of Chhattisgarh, but the current Bhupesh Badhel government there seems to have won the love of the people by taking many popular measures.

The Rajasthan elections are going to be very exciting. Because the trend there is that the government changes every five years. This trend has been going on since 1990, so there is a possibility that Ladu will fall in the hands of BJP, but Ashok Gehlot is very clever and an expert in election strategy. At one point he was going to become the president of the Congress. If it had happened then it would have been easy for BJP to win Rajasthan but now it has become a big challenge for BJP. BJP is the government in Madhya Pradesh. But it is made up of defections. BJP did not get a clear majority in the 2018 war. At that time, defections had to be resorted to form a Yenken-style government there. BJP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh is very active but BJP has fielded senior people in Madhya Pradesh and kept Shivraj Singh at bay. These seniors are also saying that if BJP wins in Madhya Pradesh, someone else will wear the crown of Shivraj Singh.

As for Mizoram, the regional parties here are fighting within. The two main political parties BJP and Congress cannot form the government independently. The support of regional parties has to be obtained. At the time of the Manipur dispute, the Mizoram government took steps to benefit the elections.

It has become very difficult to sway voters in five state elections. People flock to listen to leaders of all parties. Every party is emphasizing on street meetings. Door to door campaign has also been started. The effect of price increase on daily commodities is more for the people. There has been a huge increase in the monthly budget of the middle class. It is not possible to say who the people will lean towards in any state election.
