India is accepted as India in the constitution, but India has risen in everyone's heart and lips. In the short session of the Parliament, the name India will continue to be the talking point. A controversy is arising as to why attempts have been made to change India's name to Bharat.
The Opposition says that because the name of our organization was India, the Modi government has changed the name of the country to India. The opposition making such a presentation is very cleverly passing the name of the opposition alliance but it is the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance. Since the country became independent, the name of the country was called India or Bharat. Gradually India became popular all over the world and in India also it came into the permanent speech and practice of the people. Both names were used officially but the name India was more prevalent and the name Bharat was almost forgotten from the main stream. The Constitution is called Bharat Ka Samvidhan in Hindi.
When the title of the President who gave invitation to the dinner ceremony of the G-20 Summit was written as President of India instead of President of India, the eyes of the opposition were opened that a special session of the Parliament was called to bring forward the name Bharat from India. The vocal leaders of the opposition in their own way try to prove every move of the central government as futile but the opposition in the name of India does not seem reasonable at first glance.
India is my country and all Indians are my brothers and sisters...the pledge was read in schools and also in social events. The composition was originally composed in Telugu and is known to have been used most during times of crisis. Each and every link of this pledge created brotherhood among the people of the country. It had a message for citizens to stick to their duty.
The name India is not a helicopter entry. That is, it is not an imported name. This name has been woven with the people since the country became independent but now when India talks about Vasudhaiva Kutumpakam on the world platform, the name Bharat can be said to be welcome. It is worth mentioning here that in 2020, a Delhi-based gentleman petitioned the Supreme Court that the country should be named Bharat or Hindustan instead of India. Due to which one feels pride while speaking and feels freedom from British rule. This application was heard in the bench headed by the then Chief Justice SA Bobde. This bench also had Justir A. Bopanna and Harikishan Roy.
The petitioner said that India is an English name and it can be compared to the British leaving and leaving Lesotho. Bharat and Hindustan are names that can make every citizen proud. The petition asked to change Article One of the Constitution and start the name Bharat. Opposition leaders are happy to associate India with their Gath Bandhan name. The special session of the Parliament from September 18 to 22 is for the opposition to fight against the Modi government through Marnia. Earlier, the issue of One Nation One Election was discussed in the special session. Shashi Tharoor of Congress has said that the Constitution cannot stand in the way of naming India as the name of India has been included in the Constitution since its creation.
As the central government is ready to make new reforms for the special session of 18 to 22, the opposition is also getting ready to fight against the centre. The central government has a clear majority. Congolese leader Jairam Ramesh has said that we will take an active part even if Modi does not go to listen to Chalisa in the session. In short, the name of India will be protested by opposition which will be consumed by anti-India people. Central government can take advantage of India's dispute.
There is a large section that says that there is nothing new in the new name Bharat. But the opposition who are used to opposing every step of Modi cannot understand why even a hint of the name India. Until September 18, there will be a war of words between the ruling party and the opposition in which many burning problems of the country will be buried.
