Rajni hysteria: The craze of watching 'Jailor' has caused companies to book staff

The whole country knows the magic of Rajni or the madness for Rajinikanth. Not only the fans, now the state government and local authorities are also taking decisions to fuel this mass hysteria. Offices and educational institutions have declared holidays so that people can watch the film. Fans from all over the world have specially come to Chennai for the release of 'Jailor' to see their darling Rajinikanth.

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth is fondly called Thalaiva by his fans. His latest movie Jailer has created an unprecedented atmosphere. The movie directed by Nelson Dilipkumar released on Thursday. Fans were ready to spend ten thousand rupees for a Ticket to watch that first day first show.

An industrial group called Salem even declared a holiday for its 780 employees so that they could watch the film. Not only this, it also announced that if the employees submit the ticket receipt, the company will reimburse the movie ticket money. "Some actors release their films on a holiday, whereas the day Rajinikanth's film releases becomes a holiday. We want our employees to celebrate 'Jailor','' said a senior official of the Salem group.

Not just Salem, several other companies in South India, such as Madurai-based Aquacare, also declared a holiday for its employees on Thursday. Bisleri has partnered with Sun Pictures and released water bottles with Rajinikanth's image. Another company has booked 2,200 tickets in seven screens for its employees on August 20. The specialty of this company is that whenever a Rajinikanth movie is released, movie tickets are booked for all its employees. Another company Hinduja Leyland Finance Company has also organized a special show.

So far, 'Jailor' has sold around 9 lakh tickets on the BookMyShow app. Along with its Tamil version the film topped the South Indian markets including Chennai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Trichy, Madurai, Salem, Kochi, Trivandrum. Along with Rajinikanth, senior actors Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff are also in the film.

In comparison, Sunny Deol's 'Gadar-2' has sold three lakh tickets, Chiranjeevi's 'Bhola Shankar' has sold 70 thousand tickets and Akshay Kumar's 'Oh My God-2' has sold 45 thousand tickets. All 900 theaters in Tamil Nadu are house full for the first four days. These theaters have an average of 600 seats. 'Jailor' is getting good response from the audience after the first-day-first-show.

Brands like Royal Enfield, Airtel, BookMyShow, SpiceJet and Cadbury were placed in Rajinikanth's last two films. Rajinikanth himself is a big brand. Rajini has endorsed only two brands in his long career. One of them is Palm Kola, a 100% natural local kola from the state of Tamil Nadu. Rajinikanth appeared in television commercials for the brand to support cooperative federations, palm climbers and regional industry. Another brand he has promoted is Hoote. It is a voice-based social media application co-founded by his daughter Soundarya, which was launched in 2021.

Audience's love for Rajinikanth is beyond comprehension. His very gentle nature, his simplicity touches people a lot. People find his journey from a bus conductor to a mega star very inspiring.
