A woman wearing a Saree is rarely seen in America or Europe. Indian Women also wear saree less there. When there is a social get-together, people generally prefer local western style clothing. Two days ago, on the way to London, 700 saree-clad women danced en masse to the super popular song 'Natu Natu' from the Oscar-winning film 'RRR'. Londoners stopped to watch as the women performed on the road to the song 'Kashmir Main, Tu Kanyakumari'. For one thing, women wearing sarees are rarely seen in London and this is a huge group of 700 women. Even dancing ladies! People praised him a lot on social networks.

Saree is one of the identity of India, but now it has come to a situation that we have to find women wearing saree even in metro cities of India. Of course, in small towns and villages even today, women feel proud by wearing a saree.

On the occasion of the National Handloom Day celebrated in India, the native Indian women who gathered on Downing Street in London have attracted the attention of not only England, but the whole world through social networks. People are now inquiring about handloom. Naturally there were Gujarati women among these 700 women. He said that saree is our culture and we wear it with pride.

Indian women living in London participated in the walkathon event wearing sarees. They believe that the traditional saree of India is dying out in the new generation. Women have left the saree and turned to western dresses so much so that the new generation does not like to wrap the saree. She can easily wear western dresses and make herself look modern. Although the South Indian Sannaris living abroad may believe in country clothes, but they have not forgotten the saree woven with their culture. Of course, most expatriate women wear a saree at least once for weddings or religious occasions.

These 700 women themselves wore the famous saris of the Indian states they came from. As originally the women of Bihar wore the famous tussar saree there. Originally the women of Himachal wore sarees with Kallu prints and caps that are the hallmark of Himachal. The women of Uttarakhand wore nath with a big ring in their nose. Similarly sarees of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra were also seen. In this walkathon, 700 women wearing colorful sarees became the center of attraction.

The market of handloom sarees is gradually disappearing due to sarees being made under new technology. When a saree walkathon was held in London on the occasion of National Handloom Day, native Indian women participated enthusiastically. In the event held on the theme 'British Women in Saree', everyone was surprised when 700 women of Indian origin appeared at the appointed place in London wearing sarees. Apart from 'Natu Natu', women also danced to songs from Bollywood films and chanted slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' in the one kilometer long walkathon.

The handloom sector is gradually disappearing, so the government wants to revive this sector by celebrating Handloom Day. When Mahatma Gandhi launched the Swadeshi Movement in 1905, the intention was to promote India's indigenous industries, which included handlooms. There are 23.77 lakh looms in India. It is the second largest sector of rural employment. 31.45 lakh people are connected with this industry. It may be mentioned here that Panipat is known as Handloom Hub in India.
