Talking about Delhi: Speaker did not allow Rahul to get into controversy


New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi once again attended the Lok Sabha on Monday as the Lok Sabha Secretariat re-instated Rahul Gandhi as a Member of Parliament. The Congress raised the issue of three days' delay in restoring Rahul's seat as an MP, but Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla did not raise this controversy.

An under secretary in the Lok Sabha Secretariat accepted the Supreme Court's order to install Rahul Gandhi as a Member of Parliament but did not put the secretariat's stamp on it. Due to this, there were fears of controversy in this matter, but Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla immediately intervened to avoid controversy. As he ordered, Rahul Gandhi got back the post of MP after 136 days.

Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, Congress Leader in the Lok Sabha, submitted that the documents related to the Supreme Court's order had been sent to the Lok Sabha Secretariat by post. The Speaker assured Chaudhary that he would personally get the job done.

In Manipur, rioters looted police weapons

On the one hand, fresh violence has flared up in Manipur, while on the other hand, rioters have looted the weapons of the police. Following this incident, the central government has decided to deploy 10 more companies of central forces in Manipur. The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered the immediate deployment of 5 companies of CRPF, 3 of BSF and one each of ITBP and SSB in Manipur. Moirang and Narsena police stations were attacked by the mob and looted 685 weapons and over 20,000 cartridges.

The rioters looted AK-47, INSAS rifles, hand guns, mortars, carbines, hand grenades and bombs. The police have admitted that looting has taken place not only in valley police stations but also in hill districts in the state.

Central security forces are continuously searching all over the state to recover these weapons but most of the weapons have not been recovered.

Determined to fight from Chirag Hajipur, BJP confused

The BJP is teaming up with smaller parties to topple Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav's alliance in Bihar but Chirag Paswan and his uncle Pashupati Paras don't seem to be getting along. Union Minister Paras is currently elected from Hajipur Lok Sabha seat. Chirag has announced that he or his mother will contest from the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat in 2024. Chirag also gave an indirect warning to the BJP that if he does not get the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat, he will fight on his own strength because Hajipur seat has been the birthplace of my father Ram Vilas Paswan.

Due to Chirag's strong stance on the issue of Hajipur seat, BJP's condition has deteriorated. BJP wants to preserve Paras and also wants Chirag's support so BJP has to find a middle ground.

Three more leaders in MP left BJP for Congress

The BJP high command is worried as the trend of going from BJP to Congress continues in Madhya Pradesh. In a new development, three leaders, Awadhesh Nayak, Rajkumar Dhanora and Shubhangana Raje have joined the Congress. These three leaders have good dominance in Datia, Surkhi and Dhar areas respectively. The BJP leader admits that the departure of these three leaders will affect five to seven assembly seats.

Madhya Pradesh has assembly elections later this year. Ahead of the elections, state president Kamal Nath has aggressively raised local issues with soft Hindutva. Due to this, BJP is in a state of violence, one leader after another is going there, so the violence has increased.

The BJP leaders believe that the people sitting in the government have no contact with the local level leaders. Local leaders are leaving the party due to this not working.

Governor's letter leaves Congress fuming in Karnataka

Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot has infuriated the Congress by writing to the Siddaramaiah government seeking an inquiry into the corruption allegations against the state's Agriculture Minister Chaluvaraya Swamy. In a letter sent by the Governor's office, the government has been asked to immediately investigate and report on the allegations of corruption against Chaluvaraya Swamy.

The Congress says that the Governor is overstepping his bounds by writing a letter to investigate the allegations made for political reasons. The BJP made allegations against Swamy and presented it to the Governor. The governor has sent the letter to the government. A Congress leader even quipped that if the BJP makes allegations of corruption against the ministers of the government and asks the governor to investigate it, the government will have nothing else to do but investigate its own ministers for five years.

Stalin again raised the issue of imposing Hindi

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has raised his arms again against the central government on the issue of Hindi language. Amit Shah, chairing the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Rajbhasha, said that all the states of the country should accept Hindi without any opposition. Hindi is not in competition with other languages, the country will be strengthened only by promoting all Indian languages.

Stalin objected to it and tweeted that Amit Shah is forcing Hindi language on non-Hindi speaking states. We will not be slaves to Hindi and Tamil Nadu will never accept the supremacy of Hindi language. Other states like Karnataka and West Bengal are also opposing the imposition of Hindi language.

Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai quipped that Stalin could not understand what Amit Shah was trying to say because he did not know either Hindi or English very well.

Blow to BJP: Support withdrawn in Manipur

Manipur's Kuki People's Alliance (KPA) has won the BJP-led state's N. Birensingh has withdrawn the support given to the government. In a letter written to Manipuri Governor Anusuiya Uike, KPA president Tongmang Hawkip said that after careful consideration of the current litigious situation in the state, it seems unproductive to continue supporting the current state government. Hence KPA's support to the present government of Manipur is withdrawn. KPA leaders participated in the July 18 meeting of the BJP-led NDA.

Vacancy in Central Forces : Parliamentary Committee

The committee has also asked to conduct special recruitment drives in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Kashmir, Ishani and border states. There are a total of 83,127 vacancies in the six central armed police forces and the Assam Rifles. The committee has also recommended reservation of some seats for transgender people.

Committee of Experts for SC/ST Students

The UGC (University Grants Commission) has constituted a committee to ensure a non-discriminatory environment for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities and Minority Communities. While the current rules are anti-segregationist, the new guidelines are for redressal of student grievances. UGC's expert committee to scrutinize regulations and schemes for disadvantaged castes The Education Ministry apprised Parliament after the Supreme Court sought a status-report on steps taken by the UGC in the interest of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities and minority students in Jujali.
