Delhi talk: Pawar refrained from awarding Modi

New Delhi: Sharad Pawar ignored the sentiments of opposition leaders and appeared on the same stage as Narendra Modi but refrained from presenting the award to Modi. Modi was honored with the prestigious Tilak National Award on behalf of the Tilak Memorial Trust in Pune. As announced earlier, instead of Sharad Pawar, Modi was given the award by Deepak Tilak, chief trustee of the trust.

Opposition leaders requested Sharad Pawar not to attend the event but Sharad Pawar ignored this request and became a part of the event but Pawar also spared the opposition leaders by avoiding giving the award to Modi. Modi and Pawar, who were present on a platform, also inquired about each other's health.

NCP sources say that Lokmanya Tilak is one of the most respected personalities in Maharashtra. Because of this, being absent from his program was considered an insult to him, so Pawar was present.

Relief to Nitish, there will be caste based calculation

The Nitish Kumar Government has come to a big relief as the High Court gave the green light to caste-based census in Bihar. The Nitish-Tejaswi duo wanted to play the OBC card by conducting a caste-based census before the Lok Sabha Elections, but both were worried when the High Court stayed it. The Patna High Court lifted the stay and ruled in favor of Nitish Kumar's government, saying that there is nothing wrong in caste-based enumeration in Bihar.

The petitioner has announced to go to the Supreme Court against this judgment of the High Court, but considering the judgment given by the High Court citing the Constitution, it is unlikely that the Supreme Court will change this judgment. The petitioners argued that the Bihar government has no right to conduct a caste-based survey. Bihar government is violating the constitution. Govt. Caste-based population will also seek details of their work and eligibility which is a violation of right to privacy. Even Rs 500 crore was considered as tax wastage on caste based calculation.

Congress tribal card, campaign arch to Bhuriya

In Madhya Pradesh, tribal leader Kantilal Bhuriya has played the tribal card by appointing the chairman of the 20-member election campaign committee. By including two young leaders Omkarsinh Markam and Arif Masood in the campaign committee, the Congress has also tried to please the tribals as well as the Muslim voters. Markam and Masood are both sitting MLAs.

Even though there are stalwarts like Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh and Jitendra Patwari in the election campaign committee, there are also speculations that the Congress is putting forward Bhuriya as the chief ministerial contender by making him the chairman. In Madhya Pradesh, 22 percent of the voters are tribals and 47 seats are reserved for STs, so the Congress announcement is being considered as a smart one. Bhuriya hails from the Bhil community. As 40 percent of the tribal voters belong to the Bhil community, it is calculated that the Congress will get a huge advantage.

Warning against Griha Lakshmi Yojana in Karnataka

In Karnataka, the Congress government has started the Griha Lakshmi Yojana of Rs 2,000 per month to every woman, but the finance department has warned against the financial burden due to it. The Siddaramaiah government has made a provision of about 25 thousand crore rupees in this year's budget for this scheme but has also warned that such a huge provision will not be possible every year. 1.28 crore women are benefited from this scheme in Karnataka.

Sources say that since the Lok Sabha elections, the Siddaramaiah government will not make any changes this year, but after the Lok Sabha elections, only the women of families below the poverty line can be announced. Congress does not want to take any risk if it makes such an announcement now, as it will deal a big blow in the Lok Sabha elections.

War between the police of two states over the violence in Haryana

Five people were killed in the violence that erupted following the attack on the Braj Mandal Yatra of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Haryana's Nooh. Following this violence, the police of BJP-ruled Haryana and Congress-ruled Rajasthan have come face to face.

According to the Haryana Police, the violence took place in the wake of the possibility that Monu Manesar, accused of murdering two Rajasthani youths Nisar and Junaid, was going to visit the Yatra. The Haryana police corner Monu and do not allow him to be arrested. Due to this there is outrage among the local people hence the violence has flared up. 20 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed. In Rajasthan's Bharatpur, Internet service has also been shut down by announcing an alert.

Women wrestlers in the arena against the Brijbhushan group

The Wrestling Federation of India election has created excitement in political circles. BJP MP Brijbhushan Singh has not stood in the presidential election after 12 years due to allegations of sexual harassment of women wrestlers but has fielded two of his men, Jaiprakash and Sanjay Singh Bhola. Against him is female wrestler Anita Sharon in the fray for the presidency.

Anita has won several gold medals for India in international competitions and testified against Brijbhushan. If Anita becomes the president, history will be made because no women federation president has been made so far. If Sharon wins, Brijbhushan's nose will grow, so Brijbhushan is putting all his strength to defeat him. In the Wrestling Federation of India elections to be held on August 12, the Brijbhushan group is certain to win the remaining posts, but Anita is expected to put up a strong fight.

IIT-Central Univ. 25,000 backward class students dropped out

More than 25,000 bright students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes have dropped out of it and thus abandoned their dream of studying in IITs and Central Universities. Political parties are turning a blind eye to such a reverse situation. Our spending does not reflect our priorities. Some observers say that perhaps PM Modi criticized the opposition saying that hard work is more work than studying at Harvard and international universities. In this way, Modi has often sneered at higher education recipients in a lighthearted tone. But they cannot tell how to stop SC, ST, OBC students from leaving IITs.
