25 percent of BJP's MPs will be cut in UP

NEW DELHI: There is a flutter in the BJP as it has decided to cut the tickets of more than 25 percent of its MPs in Uttar Pradesh. BJP sources claim that some Union Ministers are also included among the MPs whose tickets will be cut. Most of these MPs are from western UP and Purvanchal. Currently, 11 MPs from UP are in the Modi cabinet and fifty percent of the ministers will not get tickets again.

UP BJP has made a list of such MPs following the orders given by the BJP High Command and the list will be handed over to the Party leadership very soon. The state BJP has taken into account the feedback received from its booth level workers to evaluate the performance of MPs and special attention has been paid to the attendance of MPs at BJP events.

The state BJP has also prepared a list of MLAs and ministers of the Yogi government, who can be given Lok Sabha tickets to save casteist equations.

BJP will cross Kalam's name to attract Muslims

Pasmanda will launch a campaign to establish Kalam as a role model among Muslims. On July 27 Dr. The campaign will start on Kalam's death anniversary and will continue till his birthday on October 15. Meanwhile, BJP will start the Pasmanda Sneh Samman Yatra across the country with the slogan 'Samman Se Utthan Ke Liye'.

This journey of the BJP Minority Front will start from Delhi and end in Bhopal. BJP's Sneh Yatra will be conducted in 14 states. There are 63 Lok Sabha seats in these states where the number of minority voters ranges from 32 percent to 98 percent. This journey will also start in Wayanad, Kerala. Rahul Gandhi won the Wayanad seat in the last Lok Sabha elections.

Concern in BJP as CPM votes increase in Bengal

The analysis after Trinamool Congress's landslide victory in the local Swaraj elections in West Bengal has raised the BJP's anxiety. BJP is set to win 35 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats in Bengal but there are doubts whether BJP will even retain the current 18 seats as the BJP's vote share in the local Swaraj elections has dropped by 15 percent compared to the Assembly elections. Worryingly for the BJP, the CPM, the main party of the Left Front, has increased its vote by 8 percent.

Most of the 18 seats won by the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were from the Jangalmahal region adjoining North Bengal and Jharkhand. Even in these areas, the BJP has been badly washed away.

Based on the results of assembly seat elections, BJP was expected to capture at least two Zilla Parishads but BJP failed to win even one Zilla Parishad.

Minister Markham within 48 hours of stepping down from the presidency

Tribal leader Mohan Markam, who was removed from the Congress presidency in Chhattisgarh, has been made a minister in the Bhupesh Baghel government. Baghel government's education minister Premsai Singh Tecum had resigned to pave the way for Markam to be inducted into the cabinet. Markam has not yet been allotted the account but given that it is unlikely that he will get the education ministry vacated by Tech, it is certain that there will be a small change in the allocation of accounts in the Baghel government.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge appointed Deepak Baij as the state president in place of Markam two days ago. Deepak Baij is an MP from Bastar Lok Sabha seat. As Markam is also from Bastar, it has been a tough uphill battle for BJP in Bastar region.

Congress sources say that Markham is a senior leader of the party but did not get a place in the cabinet. Markam was the state president since November 2019. He demanded to be included in the cabinet from the front.

Shinde was not even asked in the account allocation

There is outrage in the Shiv Sena that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was not even asked about the allocation of departments to NCP ministers in Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel went directly to Delhi to meet Amit Shah on this issue. The Shiv Sena leaders are outraged that the BJP is humiliating Shinde and has made him a worthless Shobana Nagtia like Chief Minister. Allocation of accounts is the prerogative of the Chief Minister but it is said that it is a shame that the Chief Minister is not called in the discussion about it.

Sources claim that Ajit Pawar has been given the Finance Ministry and now only a formal announcement is left. Ajit Pawar has sought portfolios including revenue, irrigation, rural development, tourism, social justice, women and development and excise. A final decision will be taken after discussing this issue with Narendra Modi.

BJP will file a case for the worker's death

There is outrage among BJP workers after the death of a BJP worker in Bihar in police lathicharge, who was protesting against the Nitish Kumar government. BJP general minister of Jehanabad district Vijay Kumar Singh has died in lathi charge by Bihar police. BJP alleges that Nitish Kumar wants to suppress the opposition against him with the force of police baton. Because of this, he has given the police free rein to crack down on the protesters. BJP has also threatened to file a murder case against the police in this matter.

Around 50,000 BJP workers were protesting over Tejashwi Yadav's involvement in the teacher recruitment scam when the police fired tear gas shells to disperse them. Despite this, when the BJP workers did not budge, they were lathi-charged. Vijay Kumar Singh, who was injured in the police lathicharge, was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

There is no clarity about your presence in Bengaluru meeting

He has not confirmed whether the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be present in the opposition meeting to be held in Bengaluru in Congress-ruled Karnataka on July 17-18. It is your insistence that the party should clarify whether the Congress has support for the ordinance establishing central control over the Delhi administration, which the Congress has not yet done. Also, having fielded candidates against the Congress in the last Karnataka assembly elections, it may not be politically very comfortable for you to attend the meeting to be held in the Congress-ruled state.

Victory of Trinamool: Strong preparations for the 21st rally

Trinamool Congress's landslide victory in West Bengal's panchayat elections has given it a fresh boost. The party is now engaged in making the July 21 rally a grand success. 21st July is Martyr's Day for Mamata Banerjee. Why? 30 years ago in 1993, Marxists ruled West Bengal and Mamata was the then state president of the Youth Congress. He called for a march on Writers Building on 21st July that year. Their main demands were: providing voter identity cards before the elections, protesting the repression by Marxists and exposing the failure of the state government to stop price hike of essential commodities. 13 Youth Congress workers were killed in police firing at the rally. Ever since Mamata Banerjee founded the Trinamool Congress, she has been celebrating Martyrs' Day on 21 July.

Tamil Nadu's Export Growth Kharge Criticizes BJP

Tamil Nadu exported electronic goods worth US$ 5.37 billion during 2022-23, creating millions of jobs and making the state itself the country's leading electronics exporter. Priyank Mallikarjun Kharge, Minister of the Congress-ruled neighboring state of Karnataka, has linked the issue with the concern of his own state and has blasted Karnataka's former ruling party, the BJP. In the last four years of BJP rule, while Karnataka was mired in hijab and zatka-halalcut controversies and rampant corruption, Tamil Nadu was taking measures to boost exports for its economic prosperity and eventually became the country's leading state in the sector. Looking at the ecosystem of Karnataka, Karnataka should be seen in that place. Priyank Kharge said that BJP lacks the vision of social and economic development, so I oppose its thinking and politics.

The decision about the merger is in the hands of the Mowdis

Former Union Minister and BJP National General Secretary Dagubati Purandeshwari has become Andhra Pradesh BJP president on Thursday. Speaking to reporters, he declined to comment on BJP's possible tie-up with the Telugu Desam Party in the upcoming state assembly elections. The national leadership of the party will decide on the matter. Yes, the BJP will maintain friendly relations with actor Pawan Kumar-led Janasena Party, Purandeshwari added.

Goan women's group concerned about UCC

Women's groups in Goa have told the Law Commission that they expect justice instead of equality as part of the public opinion called by the country's Law Commission on the Equal Citizenship Act (UCC). The above opinion letter signed by six NGOs active for the welfare of the women of Goa states that the implementation of UCC will deprive the women of Goa of rights like share in father's property. Goa, where we live, has almost a uniform family law. There are provisions here that are common to all religions, though not strictly the same, said these women-leaders.

Millions of Chandigarh residents feel cheated

People living in the outskirts of Chandigarh are facing multiple hardships due to the current monsoon. As if the canal is flowing in their housing societies! More than two lakh people living here cannot go out of their homes due to chest-deep water and as a result cannot get the essentials. Only the tops of their submerged vehicles are visible. Today, the owners of houses in Deraba-based Gulmahor City Extension, 20 km from Chandigarh, are in such a pitiable condition. When they bought these houses, the planners lured them to create world-class architecture here, said citizens here.
