Opposition failed to break Mamata's dominance in Bengal

New Delhi: Mamata Banerjee has once again proved her mettle by winning the local Swaraj elections in West Bengal. By winning 80 percent seats in Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad, Mamata Banerjee has swept away the BJP, Congress and the Left.

None of the parties, BJP, Congress and the Left, managed to win even a tenth of the seats that Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress got. The BJP, Congress and the Left have put in a lot of effort but have not succeeded in breaking Mamata's dominance.

By winning this most important election before the Lok Sabha elections, Mamata Banerjee has signaled that the three main rivals in the Lok Sabha elections, namely the BJP, the Congress and the Left, will have to chew iron gram. According to the opposition, Mamata's victory is a victory of abuse of power and hooliganism. Mamata has won on the strength of muscle power.

Jolt to Government, ED chief out

Shinde's assurance, cabinet expansion before 17th

In Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde's situation has worsened following the inclusion of Ajit Pawar and NCP MLAs in the cabinet. On the one hand, Shiv Sena MLAs are increasingly resentful of not getting ministerial posts, while on the other hand, the impression that the BJP has made them like ornaments is getting stronger.

In the recently held meeting of Shiv Sena MLAs, the ministerial issue was raised fiercely. Shiv Sena currently has only 10 ministers including Shinde while NCP has been given 9 ministerial posts. Due to this, MLAs protested against the reduction of Shiv Sena's quota. The MLAs demanded that the ministerial posts given to NCP should be counted in BJP's quota. If the BJP is not ready for that, then the alliance should be severed. Shinde has reassured the MLAs by assuring Shiv Sena of proper representation by expanding the Cabinet before the session of the Maharashtra Assembly begins on July 17.

Nitesh Rane called Uddhav the chief of hijras

BJP leader Nitesh Rane has created a controversy after he used words like hijra chieftain, stigma on masculinity and baila for Uddhav Thackeray. The BJP leader also believes that Rane should maintain limits and not use such words.

Uddhav Thackeray posted an old audio tape of Devendra Fadnavis calling him a disgrace to Nagpur. In this tape, Fadnavis says that he will never join hands with NCP. However, when Fadnavis sat down with the NCP, Uddhav struck. Responding to it, Rane has written on his social media post that, Uddhav compared his father Balasaheb Thackeray to animals by calling him a hard man in the last days. Uddhava is a stigma for male caste.

BJP will make Tomar the state president in MP

Sources claim that Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister and MP from Gwalior, may be sent to Madhya Pradesh by Modi as the state president. Narendra Singh Tomar has also been the Madhya Pradesh BJP president from 2006 to 2010 and 2013 to 2014. In 2014, when Modi was included in the cabinet, he left the presidency. The old leaders of BJP have opened a front against the Shivraj government. While this issue has become a problem for the BJP in an election year, Tomar is able to find a solution to this problem.

The legality of Article 370 will be decided quickly

There is political excitement as the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear more than 20 petitions challenging the decision to abrogate Article 370, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, from August 2. As the Supreme Court will hear every day except Monday and Friday, there is hope that these petitions will be disposed of very quickly. The political parties of Jammu and Kashmir believe that the Supreme Court may declare the decision to abrogate Article 370 as unconstitutional. A two-thirds majority was required as the matter dealt with state prerogatives, but the government abrogated Article 370 by passing the bill with a simple majority.

The government does not accept this contention. According to him, Article 370 can be abolished by simple majority.

In the Supreme Court, the central government filed a fresh affidavit and said that Jammu and Kashmir has been a victim of terrorism for three decades. The only way to eliminate it was to remove Article 370.
