Breakdown in NDA on Uniform Civil Code issue

NEW DELHI: As the government prepares to introduce a Uniform Civil Code, Tamil Nadu's AIADMK has given a shock to the BJP by announcing its opposition to the Uniform Civil Code. AIADMK is the first NDA party to announce its opposition to the Uniform Civil Code. AIADMK's Palaniswami has announced that in the 2019 election manifesto, the party had announced its opposition to the Uniform Civil Code. There is no question of any change in this attitude.

The BJP leader believes that if the AIADMK does not support the Uniform Civil Code, the BJP may face problems in the Rajya Sabha. Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR is against the Uniform Civil Code even before the Congress while Naveen Patnaik will also oppose it, so a majority in the Rajya Sabha is not possible for the BJP.

The BJP has not officially taken a decision but it is likely that the bill will be introduced in the monsoon session.

BJP called for reports for alliances in states

The BJP has sought a report from the state presidents on the possibilities of alliance with regional parties in view of the Lok Sabha elections. The issue of alliance was discussed in the recently held North Zone meeting of BJP. National President Nadda sought information from all the state presidents as to whom it would be beneficial for the party to tie up with in their respective states. It has also been asked to send a report with the reasons and rationale for this. In this meeting, the election campaign of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh was discussed. With the BJP in power in Madhya Pradesh, there was a discussion about what to do to take the work of the government to the common people. Since Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have Congress governments, separate strategies have been decided for these two states. It was decided in the meeting that every day till the Lok Sabha elections in Congress-ruled states, all the workers will enter the fray against the government with different issues.

Modi washing powder posters in Patna

Following the breakdown in the NCP in Maharashtra, the RJD has put up posters of Modi washing powder in Patna, Bihar. Placing a picture of Modi in the poster, it is written below that, Sare daag chutkiyon me dhulen. It is also written in the poster that as soon as a corrupt leader joins the BJP, Modi becomes clean with washing powder. These posters put up at the RJD headquarters in Patna and elsewhere have become a point of discussion.

After Ajit Pawar became the Deputy Chief Minister in Maharashtra, Sushil Kumar Modi claimed that a similar situation will arise in Bihar and the RJD-JDU will break up. Due to the alliance between JDU and RJD, there is a threat of losing the ticket of many JDU MPs in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, so the JDP will get a big boost. On the other hand, Lalu Prasad Yadav claimed that we will not let BJP succeed in carrying out bad intentions in Bihar.

BJP Executive Mini Margadarsh Mandal

After the BJP announced the appointment of 10 more members in the National Working Committee, there is a joke that the National Working Committee is becoming a state-level mini guidance body. BJP has appointed Suresh Kashyap, Sanjay Jaiswal, Vishnudev Sai, Dharamlal Kaushik, Ashwini Sharma, Bundy Sanjay Kumar, Somveer Raju, Deepak Prakash, Kirodilal Meena and Satish Punia to the National Working Committee.

All these are leaders who have been recently removed from important positions by the BJP. All the leaders including Ashwin Sharma, Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Satish Punia have been removed from the state presidency. In order to remove the resentment of these people, they have been appointed to the committee and have been made into ornamental knots. This committee has no role in BJP's decision-making process. On the part of these leaders, there is no work to be done except to hold meetings and discuss.

FIR against Digvijay for posting on Sangh

Congress leader Digvijay Singh has been FIRed for his comments on former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Golvelkar. Digvijay tweeted that Golvelkarji should know what his thoughts were about Muslims, Dalits and tribals. Digvijay claims that Golvelkarji wrote that whenever you get power, hand over all the wealth, land, forests, etc. of the nation to two or three trusted people and make 95 percent of the people beggars, then the power will not leave your hands for seven generations. Digvijay wrote, I do not want freedom that gives equal rights to Dalits, Backward and Muslims. I am ready to be a lifelong slave of the British instead.

It has been claimed in the complaint that Digvijay is spreading hatred in the society and defaming the Sangh by saying such things.

The high court rejected the sedition case against the school

The High Court in Karnataka has given a jolt to the BJP by quashing the sedition case against the school management. A case was filed against Shaheen school administrators Alauddin, Abdul Khaliq, Mohammad Bilal Inamdar and Mohammad Mehtab for using abusive language against the Prime Minister during the BJP government. This remark was made in a school play, but the High Court has quashed the case. The court said that, in this case, there is no case of promoting enmity between religious groups. The High Court termed the comment made in the drama as wrong and said that the use of unparliamentary words like slapping the Prime Minister is insulting and irresponsible. Constructive criticism of government policies is allowed, but people sitting in government cannot be insulted. Of course the children in the play did not use any words that would incite people to violence or create disorder.
