Talk of Delhi: Battle with allegations of Muslim appeasement in Karnataka

New Delhi: BJP and Congress have come face to face over the fact that the Congress government in Karnataka gave compensation of Rs 25 lakh each to the six families who lost their lives in the communal area. BJP claims that after coming to power, Congress has again started the politics of Muslim appeasement.

The Siddaramaiah government gave compensation checks to the families of Muslims killed in separate riots in 2022. The Siddaramaiah government is likely to take this policy forward and provide compensation to other people killed in the riots. Siddaramaiah termed his decision as correct and said that his government is removing the unconstitutional policies adopted by the BJP government.

The Siddaramaiah government is taking one popular step after another in view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As the Muslims voted for the Congress, there are allegations that the Congress government is paying more attention to the Muslims.

Kejriwal-Congress face to face again

In Rajasthan, the Aam Aadmi Party has started its election campaign vigorously, and the Congress is upset. Congressmen are criticizing that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is seeking support of Congress in the fight against BJP on one hand and attacking Congress on the other hand. Congressmen also arrived to protest against Kejriwal and Youth Congress Workers displayed black flags in front of Kejriwal's convoy on his way to the meeting.

When Kejriwal's convoy was proceeding towards Ramleela Maidan in Sriganganagar, suddenly the Youth Congress workers approached Kejriwal's car and raised black flags and chanted slogans.

After this incident, there were also rumors that Kejriwal's convoy was attacked. However, AAP's Rajasthan election in-charge Vinay Mishra said on Kejriwal that the fact that the Youth Congress workers showed black flags shows the frustration of the Congress.

In UP, the SP also turned to soft Hindutva

In Uttar Pradesh, while the BJP is eyeing the Samajwadi Party's OBC vote bank, the Samajwadi Party has decided to contest elections based on caste-based census and soft Hindutva. As part of this, Lok Jagran Yatra has been started from Lakhimpur with the slogan of social justice and caste based census.

The Samajwadi Party has also started programs including aarti to woo Hindu voters. The SP organized training camps in Lakhimpur and Sitapur on June 9 to convey the message of the party to its workers. The program started with aarti at Naimisharanya, a major Hindu pilgrimage site in Sitapur district. Shivpal Singh Yadav also unveiled a bronze statue of Rama at Ramlila Tiraha in his constituency Jaswant Nagar in Etawah district.

BJP is accusing SP of adopting Ram for power. SP's answer is that God including Ram belongs to everyone.

BJP leader at the root of the protest against Brijbhushan

A new controversy has started with Sakshi Malik and her husband Satyavrat Kadia claiming that two BJP leaders are at the center of the protest against Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. In a video post, Sakshi and Sathyavrat claimed that the wrestlers' protest was not politically motivated and when the movement against Brij Bhushan started in January 2023, two BJP leaders, Babita Phogat and Tirtha Rana, took police permission to sit on a dharna at Jantar-Mantar. The witness also showed the letter in this regard.

Babita Phogat has dismissed the claim of Sakshi-Satyavrat as false. Calling Sakshi a Congress puppet, Babita Phogat said that she was not in favor of the protest from the beginning. He himself advised to meet the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to resolve this. Babita's sister Vinesh Phogat is leading the opposition against Brijbhushan.

Naming of two parks after Shivaraj's sons

In Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's Assembly Constituency Budhani, two parks have been named after Chouhan's sons, a controversy has arisen. One of these parks was named Nehru Park and has been renamed after Shivraj Singh's elder son Kartikeya. The name of the second park is also associated with the name of the younger son Kunal.

While the Congress has opposed this, the BJP has defended it by saying that the name of the park has been changed due to the sentiments of the local people. Local people have named the park after Shivraj's sons to express their love.

BJP's defense is absolutely absurd. The names of any public places are attached to them to show respect towards the people who have contributed to the development of the country. BJP is creating a new tradition of considering people's feelings or other things.

Stalin imprisoned his own leader

MK Stalin has surprised MK Stalin by suspending and then arresting Shivaji Krishnamurthy for making objectionable comments about BJP leader Khushbu Sundar. Normally political parties don't do anything to those who make bad comments about rival party leaders but Stalin took immediate action.

DMK spokesperson Krishnamoot made insulting remarks against BJP leader and member of the National Commission for Women, Khushbu Sundar, calling her an old mess. The opposition criticized Shivaji Krishnamurthy's statement as low level.

Khushbu Sundar posted a video replying to Shivaji Krishnamurti calling this statement foolish. Khushbu said that this statement is a reflection of DMK's political culture. Khushbu Chief Minister M. K.Stalin was challenged to speak on this issue. Other BJP leaders also challenged Stalin to clarify. Instead of responding to Khushbu's words, Stalin has stopped the BJP from speaking by taking direct action.
