India will not benefit from joining NATO or NATO Plus

As America needs India, the American Senate has passed a bill giving India equivalent status to a member of 'NATO'. With India getting 'NATO' equivalent status, India can buy arms and technology from America. India also easily receives highly sensitive military material from the US. Joining NATO Plus has nothing more to gain, so joining NATO Plus is pointless. Joining NATO from India is out of the question, because if it joins NATO, then the coin of being America's pet will be struck. India has to put its independence aside.

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to America next month. Before this trip, the committee of the US Parliament i.e. Congress on China's ruling Communist Party has made an interesting recommendation. The ruling party of China is called CCP i.e. Chinese Communist Party. The Congress Select Committee on CCP has recommended the Joe Biden government to include India in the NATO Plus group.

Currently Australia, New Zealand. Japan, Israel and South Korea are five countries that are members of NATO Plus. The committee has recommended inclusion of India as the sixth country. At present there are 31 member countries in NATO and the number of member countries of NATO plus five group becomes 36 with the addition of 5 of NATO Plus. The committee proposes to include India as the 37th country. The committee is of the opinion that India should join forces with NATO countries to stop the Chinese army when the possibility of China attacking to swallow Taiwan has become strong. The committee believes that if India is with China, it will think a hundred times before invading Taiwan. This proposal is not new for India. A proposal was also made in the Congress to include India in NATO Plus, but it was later shelved.

Currently, the Congress Committee has recommended India to join NATO Plus, but America has already offered India to join NATO. Just last month, Finland joined NATO and became the thirty-first member. Before Finland was accepted into NATO, America gave an open offer to India to join NATO, so this offer is neither new nor surprising for India.

The US Parliamentary Committee's recommendation is proof of India's growing global influence, but there is no benefit for India to join NATO Plus. America has the advantage. In the case of America, the adage that red does not go without profit is exactly applicable. The reason why America is now falling at India's feet is because of its advantage. The recommendation to admit India into NATO Plus is part of this US selfishness.

America is currently under threat from both China and Russia. Russia's Vladimir Putin has consumed America and its allies. Heeding the threats of America, he invaded Ukraine but is not ready to turn back despite the millions of US dollars. Putin has broken the illusion that America is the most powerful country in the world.

China has put America in a frenzy from all sides. America has become angry that China is creating economic pivots by destroying the countries considered to be America's allies. China has long had its eye on Taiwan. China considers Taiwan as its own territory and is determined to usurp it. Since America's economic interests are largely connected with Taiwan, America is ready to do whatever it takes to stop China's occupation of Taiwan, so it touches India.

This selfishness of America is not new and this is why India should not come into America's talks. The deal of India joining NATO or NATO Plus is not beneficial either. Rather there is no direct benefit but the loss is greater. If India becomes a member of NATO Plus, it will be able to exchange intelligence with NATO member countries and also with NATO Plus members. All the five member countries of NATO Plus are under threat from China, so these countries are still doing this exchange with India. There is nothing extra to be gained if India joins NATO Plus.

As America needs India, the American Senate has passed a bill giving India equivalent status to a member of 'NATO'. With India getting 'NATO' equivalent status, India can buy arms and technology from America. India also easily receives highly sensitive military equipment from the US. Joining NATO Plus has nothing more to gain, so joining NATO Plus is pointless.

Joining NATO from India is out of the question because if it joins NATO then the coin of being America's pet will be struck. India has to put its independence aside. After that, America and its allies have to follow their lead.

India is now independent so America also protects us and Russia also protects us. Join NATO and Russia and China become enemies.

China hates India but Russia is India's friend. India gets a lot of defense support from Russia and now also gets cheap crude oil. Thus relations with Russia are beneficial for India. Even if the relations are not beneficial, it is not wise to be enmity with Russia because of America. On the other hand, if China attacks or usurps Taiwan, it will be America's concern, not India's. India should not do that foolishness.

America is concerned about its interests with Taiwan, so when it wants to sideline India, India should also worry about its own interests.

India should make a bet against America that India is ready to join NATO and not NATO Plus if America helps India to get back the territories that Pakistan and China have taken from India.

India is able to easily take over Kashmir (PoK) which was seized by Pakistan from Pakistan. It does not need US military or any other help for it. America only turns a blind eye to these efforts of India and suppresses the issue in organizations including the UN.

If America can do it, India can also join it. Seeing that America is never going to do that, there is no need for India to lose its independence by joining NATO or any other organization.

India has sufficient military strength to protect itself

There is another compelling reason for India not to join NATO or NATO Plus. The United States has bilateral security and defense agreements with all five current members of NATO Plus. Meaning, America will provide all kinds of help to these countries against the aggression of foreign countries. In return for this promise of help, America earns billions by dumping small amounts of weapons and war technology into these countries.

These countries have to remain under the protection of America because they do not have the strength to defend themselves. India is self-reliant and not dependent on any other country for its security.

India has a huge army and strength to face any country.

India itself is a nuclear superpower, India has sophisticated missiles, fighter aircrafts, submarines, warships etc. Due to this huge military strength, India does not need to accept the slavery of America or any other country.

Combined forces of 'NATO', 31 member countries

NATO was established four years after World War II. In 1949, the countries spread along the Atlantic Ocean separating Europe and America formed 'NATO', the number of member countries at the time of establishment of 'NATO' was 12. These countries felt threatened by Japan-China. With Japan reeling from World War II and China rising rapidly, these countries joined in, confident that America could protect them against these twin threats.

The purpose of 'NATO' was to build military power, so 'NATO' is still the largest military organization in the world. Total member countries of 'NATO' are 31 and all are obliged to provide military assistance to each other. It is a tradition that 'NATO' army goes where America attacks. Only 'NATO' army fought in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc. Closer economic transactions between 'NATO' countries are going smoothly because America gives special concessions to 'NATO' countries.
