Delhi talk: BJP looking for scapegoat for defeat in Karnataka

New Delhi: BJP national president J.P. regarding BJP's shameful defeat in Karnataka. All eyes are on who will be scapegoated when Nadda hands over the report to Narendra Modi next week. The BJP high command has made it clear that it will not be accepted that the responsibility of this defeat is shared by all. All reasons for failure must be presented and responsibility for errors must also be fixed.

Sources of the BJP claim that many defects were repeatedly observed during the election management. The BJP high command alerted the state leaders about this but the state leaders did not take any action.

However, Karnataka BJP leaders say that the high command used to take decisions on all matters related to the state and now when the state was defeated, the high command is escaping responsibility by placing the blame on the state leadership. The high command should show the moral courage to accept full responsibility for the defeat but the high command does not have that courage.

Congress discouraged over friendship with Mamata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her readiness to take on the Congress by aligning the anti-BJP opposition parties for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, but the Congress has given a cold response to Mamata. On the contrary, it has indirectly made Mamata mad.

Mamata said, I am with Congress in Karnataka but Congress should not be against me in West Bengal and should stop fighting against me.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has replied to Mamata and said that we will fight against Trinamool Congress wherever necessary, not only in Bengal. After the victory of Congress in Karnataka, Mamata has started to feel that she cannot win in Bengal without Congress because the hold of Congress party is getting stronger in Bengal.

According to analysts, the Congress is not interested in Mamata's offer as a senior leader like Chaudhary would not make such a statement without orders from the Congress high command.

Pilot likely to be suspended from Congress

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot may be suspended from the Congress following the ultimatum given by him on the occasion of the conclusion of the Jansangarsh Yatra. Ashok Gehlot has called the Pilot's ultimatum as anti-party activity and proposed to suspend the Pilot. Many top Congress leaders have supported Gehlot's talk.

Pilot told the meeting in Mahapura village near Jaipur, giving time to the state government till May 30, that if our three demands are not met, there will be agitation in entire Rajasthan. Pilot has demanded that the Rajasthan Public Service Commission be dissolved and reconstituted. A high-level action should be taken against the corruption during the tenure of the Vasundhara government and compensation should be given to the students affected by the paper leak.

Pilot said that till now, as a Gandhian, he has done fasting and public struggle, but the movement will be done in the entire state and will be done aggressively. Rajasthan government should act against corruption as we still have 6 months time.

The formula for sharing seats in Aghadis in Maharashtra is ready

After the defeat of the BJP to the Congress in the Karnataka assembly elections, it has become clear that the Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra will contest the Lok Sabha elections together. Sharad Pawar called a meeting of the top leaders of the three parties immediately after the Karnataka election results. Sources claim that in the meeting called at Pawar's residence, it has been decided that the three parties will contest on 16 seats each.

It was decided in the meeting that a six-member committee comprising two representatives from each partner would be constituted to prepare the seat-sharing formula for the 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. These members will decide which seat will be allotted to whom. Seats will be allotted based on which party is strong and which candidate can win.

Sources claim that Pawar has clearly said that this time BJP can be defeated in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Manjhi signaled Nitish's separation

There are signs of cracks in the Grand Alliance in Bihar. Nitish Kumar government's Hindustani Awam Morcha protege and former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has warned Nitish Kumar that there is no need to be under the illusion that we will be with Nitish Kumar forever.

Jitan Ram Manjhi said that we have taken an oath to live with Nitish Kumar but there are no oaths in politics. Manjhi praised Nitish Kumar and said, Nitish Kumar has given me a lot of respect and he made me the chief minister. I am thankful to Nitish for this but nothing is permanent in politics.

Sources claim that when Manjhi met Amit Shah some time ago, Shah offered him to join the BJP. BJP wants a new vote bank in the Lok Sabha elections, so Manjhi has also been offered a ministerial post at the Centre. Manjhi is melting with this offer.

It is now difficult for BJP to gain a foothold in South

With the defeat in Karnataka, the BJP's mission in the South is believed to be over. The BJP wanted to establish its dominance in South India by winning Telangana after Karnataka and establish itself as a truly national party and an alternative to the Congress. With the defeat in Karnataka, this dream of BJP has been shattered for now.

Now the BJP has moderate influence in the five southern states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra and Telangana. BJP believes that BJP will suffer a big blow in South India in the Lok Sabha elections due to Karnataka's defeat. South India has 130 Lok Sabha seats. BJP currently has 29 MPs from the south but 25 of them are from Karnataka.

BJP had aimed to win 60 Lok Sabha seats this time, but after the defeat in Karnataka, it is now difficult for BJP to maintain 29 seats.

D.K. Shivakumar's words: He obeyed Khadge

Compared to Siddaramaiah, D.K. Shivakumar's unwavering faith in Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is once again in the news. In April 2013, Shivakumar had said about Kharge that he is my leader and the National President of Congress. I like working under them. He is an asset to our state (Karnataka) and country. I will uphold the party's decision. Kharge is 20 years senior to me. I became MLA in 1985, while Khadge became MLA in 1972. Khadge resigned from the leadership of the Congress Legislative Party at midnight in June 2009 on orders from the high command. Khadge's promotion in Congress is not possible in any other party. I did not do anything against his will, added Sivakumar.

Criticized Congress for the confusion over the leader, slammed the BJP

While some BJP leaders have been criticizing the Congress for the delay in naming names amid the forced race for the chief ministership of Karnataka, the Congress has cited examples of the brick-and-mortar response in Uttar Pradesh, where the victorious BJP even spent days choosing its leader after the election. . Reminiscing the memories of the Prime Minister's name-callers, the Congress said that in 2017, the UP assembly election results were declared on March 11, while UP got a Chief Minister in the form of Yog Adityanath on March 19... exactly 8 days later. On May 3, 2021, Assam assembly election results were announced when Himanta Vishwa Sharma became its Chief Minister, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted on May 10, 2021, 7 days after the results.

2024 Lok Sabha: Congress has a long way to go

After securing a clear mandate in the Karnataka assembly elections, Congress leader Siddaramaiah called it a foreshadowing of the results of next year's Lok Sabha polls, analysts pointed out that it is much harder to show than to say. Analyzing the details of the parliamentary election results since 2009, the Election Commission has found that the BJP's vote-share has increased in the Lok Sabha elections as compared to the assembly elections, resulting in a good advantage for the BJP in the form of seats in the Lok Sabha. After the state assembly elections are held in Karnataka, Lok Sabha elections are held in the country every rainy season. Although the Congress has a higher vote share than the BJP in the assembly elections, it has underperformed the BJP in the last three Lok Sabha elections. Karnataka voters have shown a difference in the results of national and regional level election-battles.
