Talking about Delhi: Mamata ready to give two seats to Congress in Bengal

New Delhi: Nitish Kumar has undertaken a mission to unite the opposition in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As part of this, Nitish and Tejashwi Yadav have met Mamata Banerjee and requested her cooperation to take the Congress to the front. Sources claim that Mamata is ready for an alliance with the Congress but is not ready to give more than two Lok Sabha seats. Mamata is ready if Nitish-Tejashwi convinces Congress to accept two seats.

After this meeting, Nitish and Mamata addressed the reporters together. Mamata clearly said that she has no pride in joining the opposition coalition against the BJP. I want BJP to turn from hero to zero in the next elections.

Nitish-Tejashwi will also meet SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Bihar, UP and Uttar Pradesh are the three states most important in terms of government formation at the Centre. 80 in UP, 40 in Bihar and 42 in Bengal, 162 Lok Sabha seats with 545 members are in these three states.

'UP Ke Gunde Kahte Hain, Akhilesh Aye'

The song 'UP Ke Gunde Kahte Hain, Akhilesh Aiye', launched by the BJP for the urban local Swaraj elections in Uttar Pradesh, is gaining popularity. The song refers to recently killed Atiq Ahmad and jailed mafia Mukhtar Ansari.

BJP has made the elimination of gangsters a major issue in this election. On his part, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also says the same thing that now mafia is a thing of the past in UP and the state is becoming a symbol of security, prosperity and employment. Yogi says, now not mafia but Mohotsav is our identity. No more a nuisance... festival is our identity. BJP has also played slogans like 'No Curfew, No Riots, UP Mein Sab Changa'.

SP has hit out against 'UP ke gunde kahte hain, Akhilesh Aiye', saying that in UP, everything done by the caste of yogis, except those Thakurs, is called bullying.

Pawar's signal to leave Congress-Shiv Sena alliance

Amid speculations of Ajit Pawar joining hands with BJP, Sharad Pawar has said that nothing can be said about the future of Maha Vikas Aghadi. In response to the question that NCP will contest elections in 2024 by staying in Maha Vikas Aghadi, Pawar said that there is Aghadi in Maharashtra today but it cannot be said whether it will be there in future or not.

Pawar said that today we are a part of Mahavikas Aghadi. We want to be together in the future too but what happens with desire? There are many issues to be discussed right from the distribution of seats, so nothing can be said about this at present.

NCP is calling Pawar's statement normal. Pawar clarified that he is in favor of unity of Mahavikas Aghadi and there is no discussion on the issue of seats. However, the BJP believes that Pawar has indirectly signaled his departure from the Shiv Sena-Congress alliance.

BJP will abolish Muslim reservation in Telangana

Like in Karnataka, the BJP has decided to play the Hindutva and reservation card in the Telangana assembly elections. Telangana has 4 percent reservation for Muslims. Amit Shah has announced that reservation given to Muslims in education and jobs in Telangana will be canceled if BJP comes to power. Shah has also alleged that K. Chandrasekhar is following the agenda of Rao Asaduddin Owaisi.

Terming the Muslim reservation and double-bedroom house schemes for Muslims as unconstitutional, Shah said, "If our government is formed in Telangana, we will abolish Muslim reservation." This reservation is for Dalit, Tribal and OBC community of Telangana so they will get reservation only. Shah said, you all should vote for Kamal. Mahalakshmi will descend in Telangana sitting on a lotus and shower grace.

Since KCR's party has wide Muslim support in Telangana, the BJP has been pushing a Hindutva agenda for a long time but without much success. Telangana has assembly elections later this year.

The Wrestling Federation of India elections were to be held on May 7.

These wrestlers have been staging dharna at Jantar-Mantar since Sunday. The wrestlers have demanded the release of the report of the monitoring committee investigating the allegations.

Jagan's sister slapped the police officer

A video of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister and YSR Telangana Party president YS Sharmila slapping an officer after scuffling with the police has gone viral. Following this incident, the police detained Sharmila but later released her.

The police wanted to reach Sharmila's house and detain her before she went to the office of the Special Investigation Team to present herself in the paper leak case. The police tried to stop Sharmila's car at the gate. An officer and some constables were standing in front of Sharmila's car. As Sharmila asked her driver to drive the car, the angry police pulled the driver out of the car. An enraged Sharmila came out and scuffled with the police. Sharmila slapped the police officer.

Sharmila is trying to raise her political weight in Telangana. As a part of it, she is doing protest programs in Telangana.
