A quiet revolution for the advancement of womanhood

- Veerayathan created at the Trivenisangam of Service, Education and Sadhana

- Mahasati Sri Chandanashreeji

- Jalta hai jab jigar no one asks,

Dunya se ghu gaya to wajah pohute hai log.

When the sun goes down, the face turns red due to oppression,

Dharti se kya hui hai khata, puchate hai log.

A land that once echoed with the glorious chant of non-violence, a few years back was burning with the fires of all-out violence.

Once upon a time, this royal city preached world peace and human welfare instilling purity and righteousness in the hearts of the people, on the same land animals were brutally hunted amidst the rugged forests.

Once upon a time from the Samavasaran formed at the foothills of Vaibhargiri in the city of Rajgrihi, Lord Mahavira's Malkaunsa raga (preaching) of all the welfare of the country flowed, the place where violence, immorality, poverty and disease had settled for years. It was difficult to imagine that Lord Mahavir performed 14 times Chaturmas in this palatial city, but due to the change of time and the changes of history, this land has become a wasteland.

On arrival, the vision of a revolutionary falls on the glory of this land of 2500 years ago. That revolutionist Upadhyay Shri Amarmuniji Maharaj called that, on the occasion of Lord Mahavir's 2500 nirvana-centenary, if an Ananddeep is lit in the Rajgrihi, it will continue to praise the path of welfare of all mankind. Lord Mahavir's benevolent Mars message should spread throughout the world.'

Upadhyaya Shri Amarmuniji's vision was not limited by any sect, but based on the harmony of the entire mankind, and who can attain that vision? Who can realize this sense of Guru? Before such a question arose, the philosophical and fearless disciple Mahasati Shri Chandanashreeji respectfully asked for permission from Gurudev and said, 'I am ready to give up my life to realize that spirit and plan of yours.' And Gurudev Upadhyaya Munishree Amarmuni had complete faith in him and said, 'Everything is possible for him, nothing is impossible.' And then Veerayatana began at the foot of Vaibhargiri in Rajgrihi. Veer means Mahavir and Ayatan means holy place and as if the sanctity of this land of 2500 years ago started to be revealed gradually.

35 years before this incident. Mahasati Chandanashreeji gave the study and sermon. Deeply studied the profound texts of philosophy, but how is it that on one side the lofty discourse of religion flows and on the other side the surrounding society is engrossed in violence and misdeeds? Sometimes blindness occurs due to lack of treatment and sometimes individuals suffer from polio for the rest of their lives without treatment. It was constantly in my mind that the entire life and vision of Lord Mahavir was full of compassion. So, on this land of Lord Mahavira, I want to pour the holy spring of human-uplifting compassion.

Frequent struggles had to be played out for the creation of this Veerayatan located in the tribal area. He taught the lessons of animal love among people who considered animal hunting to be commonplace, but this was not an easy task. For this they had to face poachers. Sometimes had to stand in front of trucks carrying animals. A hunter even said, 'Why are you risking your life?' Then Sadhvishri said, 'I am ready to give my life to save the life of others.' Many incidents happened, but gradually the aroma of Mahasatishri Chandanashreeji's services started to be felt.

He started the propagation of this idea with 'Veeraytan Balika Sangh' in Kolkata. This was indicative of strong belief in feminine power. After that, he gradually connected with the crowd of Veerayatan. Due to lack of eye treatment, they become blind. Instead of preaching the spiritual light at the time of coming, he thought of the light of the eyes of the poor and helpless people and on the Sharadpurnima of 1974, he treated about 250 people with eye diseases free of charge and performed cataract operations.

Gradually Mahasati Chandanashreeji's touch of service awakened goodwill among the tribal people who once opposed him. On the 80th birthday of Upadhyayashri Amarmuniji, who gave his guru and life vision, a museum of enlightening events of Jainism named 'Shri Brahmi Kalamandir' was established. There is also a hint in this Brahmi nomenclature. Brahmi was the daughter of Lord Rishabhadev and knew 14 languages. The Brahmi script created by him is one of the oldest scripts in the world.

To give a permanent shape to the work of ophthalmology, he established 'Netrajyoti Seva Mandiram' and slowly gaining the faith of the surrounding people, they started coming to the lectures of his venerable gurumata Shri Sumati Kunwarji Maharaj and as a result thousands of people gave up alcohol, hunting and non-vegetarian food. On 26th January 1987, a special event took place that Upadhyaya Munishree Amarmuniji decorated Sadhviji Chandnaji with the post of principal. Femininity was glorified by giving the post to a nun, which was earlier restricted to monks only. After that, Acharyashri Chandanashreeji went to foreign lands and called upon the Indians, 'Spread the culture and traditions of your motherland through good practice abroad and serve your country with the technology and wealth here.'

Gradually Vidyapeeths were established in many countries and through them started the works of culture and self-education. The main mantra of his work is: Shiksha, Seva and Sadhana. Education brings intellectual strength and in that too he created new dimensions of education by adding value oriented education. Service awakens altruism and sadhana develops inner self-strength. Taking these three principles, Veerayatana's seed gradually became a tree and then a banyan tree. Today, constructive works are carried out by Veeraitan's Sadhvi Sangh in twenty countries like Nepal, America, England, Canada, Thailand, Korea. Works human-compassion through service, uplifts life through education and leads the path of spiritual progress through sadhana. This organization has given Sahu the rites of de-addiction, therapy and a pure vegetarian life.

Instead of confining religion to mere sermons or speeches, when natural difficulties befell human life, it has done exemplary relief by listening to the pleas of humanity. Even in this, the service done in Kutch is considered to be very special. During the severe earthquake of 2001, this organization did relief work, but did not limit its work to just providing food or shelter. He created a huge educational complex in Kutch, an educational complex that not only taught. But also performed services. Jakhnia and Rudrani villages of Kutch shed light on education for the first time, organizing hostels for students coming from distant villages. About 12,000 people of Kutch have been made self-reliant through 36 different vocational courses. At the time of the earthquake, schools had been set up, accommodating more than ten thousand children, but after the earthquake, their work became more extensive and today colleges teaching courses such as pharmacy, engineering, computer application etc. have also been established in Kutch.

This golden jubilee of Veerayatan, these golden works of his service, education and Sadhana were imprinted and especially that he has given a vast sky to Veerayatan of Rajgrihi city only. Several Veeraitans i.e. holy places have been erected in the country and abroad expressing the spirit and teachings of Lord Mahavira in a broad context. It has no caste, religion or creed. There is no exception. It is only natural that Mahavir's principles are for anyone, then this Veerayatan is for all people and today it is awakening in the world the all-round upliftment of all people.

Have you seen the leader standing in the 'line'?

Seth Amichand was happy with everything, but there was only one problem and it did not sound right to him or his ears. So he went to a shop and bought a hearing aid.

A month must have passed after this and Seth came back to the shop again. The shopkeeper got scared seeing them. Whether it happened or decided, his hearing aid must have gone wrong! The shopkeeper asked nervously, 'Say, Seth, the hearing aid bought from our shop works perfectly!'

Seth Amichand said, 'No, it works fine. No complaints, but I want to buy some other items from your shop.'

The shopkeeper held his breath. He politely said, 'Shethji, the shop is yours. meet the need Are all skilled Mars at home?'

Seth Amichand said, 'How skilled is Mars? I've had to change my veil three times since you bought the hearing aid there!'

We remembered this because after buying a hearing aid, Amichand Seth started listening to everyone's stories. Now our government systems also need to listen to the suffering of the people. Every system works at a snail's pace. People often have to push even for simple things. If the application is not disposed of, new applications have to be made. Piles of files pile up and the common man goes through extraordinary hardships.

Union Minister Gadkari has said that, 'no work can be done without water supply'. If the Prime Minister himself says so, what will be the condition of the people? There is a need to make a strict law against bribery and bring to book the officials who take advantage of the helplessness of the people. The government plans welfare schemes, but before those welfare schemes reach the people, how many bribes have to be paid to the beneficiaries.

Once upon a time, kings disguised themselves and went out at night to find out the true condition of the people. Now today's politicians and officials need to disguise themselves and stand in the 'line' like a common man, only then he will get a true understanding of the people's suffering and will be able to hear the voice of his heart.
