The New Zealand-ASEAN Scholar Awards offer scholarships for international students hailing from Southeast Asian countries.   • Travel between your home country and New Zealand at the start and end of your scholarship
  • Home leave or reunion travel for some eligible scholars
  • Pastoral and academic support at your institution
  • Assistance with research and thesis costs for most postgraduate research students

Eligibility:

To be eligible for a New Zealand Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age when commencing the scholarship.
  • Hold citizenship in the country from which you are applying for a scholarship and have resided in that country for at least the past two years.
  • Commit to returning to your home country for a minimum of two years upon completing the scholarship.
